This isnt a tuesday testdrive—it’s a shout of love to a blogger who passed this tantalizing treat my way (I dont wanna out you, bloggerfriend, feel free to out yourself in the comments.)
Im compelled, however, to share the fact Im thoroughly smitten.
Mine is a love (blurry, smallbutclickable & cameraphone-depicted below) borne of necessity.
Ive found that mamahood (heck, LIFEhood) can be isolating and, as a result, this MizFit rolls NOWHERE sans-Sidekick (handheld not Toddler)
At times, however, this rolling can be cumbersome (casts a glance at her tinypocketbearing Nike shorts).
The treat* below has a bigassPOCKET in the undershorts which totally & completely holds my Sidekick (again device not offspring) freeing my hands for other things.
From weight training to laundry folding.
Two thumbs up in my book and that was before I pounded the proverbial pavement or hoisted the wonderful weights in it.
LOVE.
*I dont know which skirt it is (sorry) but it’s from SkirtSports.

August 7, 2008 at 4:19 pmNice muscle! I squeezed my phone in a way too tiny pocket. Big pockets are nice.

August 7, 2008 at 5:20 pmTres cool!
The Bag Lady has been on the run all day and hasn’t had a lot of time to blog. Sheesh. Missing all the fun, she is.

August 7, 2008 at 5:29 pmWow! Great skirt. I think I need deeper pockets in my workout clothes. Last week I lost my phone under the leg press machine. (big extra drama that I didn’t need). It was a quirk that let someone find it and get it back to me the same day.

August 7, 2008 at 5:43 pmOh, man. I was so hoping you were going to say that the pocket does indeed hold the offspring sidekick!
Looks nice . . . one day I WILL shop for myself and get some new gear!

August 7, 2008 at 6:40 pmGreat skirt! Most of my workout shorts/skirts only have tiny pockets that barely fit my keys. I’m definitely checking these out!

August 8, 2008 at 7:24 amWould love to see a list sometime of good workout clothes with handy pockets…and not those teeny tiny worthless pockets. I’m talkin’ about pockets that actually hold stuff so it won’t fall out. Lol! I’m sure there’s a list online somewhere….but I haven’t really looked.

August 8, 2008 at 7:54 pmSo, you have turned to the dark side! I dont’ know I still can’t think of wearing a skirt while working out. But who knows maybe one day I will give it a try. 🙂

August 8, 2008 at 9:44 pmFor Tony – utilikilts are what you’re looking for!
http://www.utilikilts.com/
Though I’m not sure if they’d be good for working out . . . I guess you could request your custom skirt come with bike shorts underneath and be made out of coolmax or something of the like. Talk about a fun challenge for the Utilikilt folks! 🙂 Ha! I’ll be thinking of this all weekend . . . . I bet my husband would be up for something of the sort, as he’s been wanting a kilt for some time now and is an avid runner and cyclist, too . . . hmmm . . . let the scheming begin!
Brianna says
August 8, 2008 at 9:48 pmOK – always check the link before you comment on it. They DO have a workout kilt:
http://www.utilikilts.com/?page_id=32
Seriously cool . . . and Miz – here’s the best part – DEEP POCKETS! Now guys can be as cool as women with their snazzy workout gear.
Now I’m off to find my husband to see if he’d be up for testing this puppy out . . .

August 11, 2008 at 5:07 amHey there MizFit, I think just maybe you were referring to moi in that post?? I was wearing my gym girl (hot hot hot pink with matching hot hot hot pink top) just last week. I got stopped by two people who were blinded and asked about my skirt. You know, Skirtsports has a dress, too? Haven’t heard if you can smuggle toddlers in that one, but runners seem to like. I like that I can put my skirt on first thing in the morning and not feel totally slovenly, even if I don’t get my workout in until late afternoon. I think it helps with exercise compliance, because like I said over at workoutmommy, if I get my clothes on then I feel compelled to squeeze it in somehow. And you can totally stink but since you look so cute nobody suspects you.
And by the by thanks for all your fun, witty comments. And sorry so slow to comment on your site. I’ve been around and promise to be more vocal! Still feel like a newbie with all this blogging stuff, so I’m hoping to learn from the experts, MizFit included!
