Oh, girl who is hungry Thank you for the book! I'm feeling so special With my sneakpeak'y look. I'm here at the grocery This Miz multitasks Squatting & shopping And working the....glutes. For dinner tonight? It's page 85. BaconBundledShrimp?! Good gosh! Sakes alive! With it we'll have Page 120 I think. Roasted veggies explosion But hmmm what to drink?! Page 188? Or 191? Can't give it away That would ruin the fun. I'll earn some dessert. Work my tri's while I read! These cereal kickbacks? I can feel em. Indeed. I could rhyme here for days. I've surely got more. Multitasking does call. Must work balance & core. Hungry Girl? You've done it. From oatmeal to cheese. All fab new creations Under 200 calories. This ode is complete. Cardio calls. NO DOUBT. Time to lunge down the aisles. I done. MizFit OUT.

I’m “Hungry”, and I have two “Girl”s in my house…

I need to win this book because after two years of eating the same things and finally hitting a brick wall, I need to change up my food habits if I am ever going to loose the rest of this weight.
Also I feel like I never win anything because it’s always for the good folks in the US, but this is open to Canada so worth a try!

Gena says
April 1, 2009 at 4:45 amSeriously, all the shoppers just ignored you?!?! Were they trying to just pretend nothing was going on? Haha!
That sounds like a great cookbook! I really appreciate books that have main dishes and sides separate so it’s easier to mix and match based on what you like or what you have on hand.
p.s. Sorry I’ve been absent. School calls and I can do nothing but answer.

April 1, 2009 at 4:51 amI’ve said this before, but I hope someday to walk into you filming at the grocery story – I know where you shop!

I laughed the entire time we filmed.
The husband? not so much my CamRen Man just wanted a quick in & out (which we did. one take) as I think he was a suffering from Cereal Aisle Embarrassment.
(kinda my bad as we filmed during peak shopping hours.)
Erica says
April 1, 2009 at 5:00 amhahahhahaha I love how everyone just walks by without an odd glance! Your husband rocks for filming π

This book sounds pretty fantastic.

April 1, 2009 at 7:33 amMizFit, love the video post! I actually thought about doing the same thing, at midnight (if you saw my grocery store at a normal time, you’d understand!). I’ve really enjoyed all your posts lately.

April 1, 2009 at 7:51 amLove the video – you are the Master Rhymer! π Did I spell that right?
Well, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE Hungry Girl’s new book because I am coming off of an extremely self-imposed strict diet and I need help! I’ve been eating the same things at the same time, every single day. I’m scared to death of what to eat and am afraid of going off my diet because the unknown is scary – and I’m afraid all the weight will come back on. But … I know I can’t “diet” forever. I need to approach this as a lifestyle – something I can live with for the rest of my life, and I truly believe that awesome cookbook in your hands will help me to achieve my goal of creating more variety and balance in my meals … for the rest of my life! THank you!

April 1, 2009 at 7:54 amFour months ago I lost my job following a hurricane. Three months ago I started WW (to lose the 12 pounds gained from the previous month, and then the rest too). WW has been my number one resource, but Hungry Girl is a super close #2.
The recipes she posts are AMAZING. I love breaded fried food, and her trademark “faux-fried” items are one of the only ways I have stuck to my plan!! I have cooked more meals in the last 3 months then my previous 28 years of life. I would love to have this cookbook- but won’t be able to order it (lost my job…)
If you like fried foods and ranch… try her Faux Fried Zucchini… hmmmmm.

April 1, 2009 at 9:23 amI love the poetry and giggled as you lunged off into the horizon– well, the aisle. In an effort to save $$$ I’ve just been borrowing cookbooks from the library. April 1, 2009 at 2:30 pmAh Miz! Love it!
As for me and the book….well, I do most of the cooking in our household and I need, need, need new recipes, especially those under 200 calories.

April 1, 2009 at 3:53 pm200 calorie options? Sounds like it could be really good, especially if it comes from HungryGirl!

April 1, 2009 at 3:56 pmWhat a great book! Thanks for the video too!
BTW, I am giving away $40 worth of greek yogurt coupons + other loot if you or any of your readers are interested.
Greek yogurt is so expensive, every little bit helps, right?

April 1, 2009 at 7:31 pmDear Miz,
I’m writing this poem
not to win HG’s book,
cause I’ll buy it myself,
by hook or by crook.
I’m writing my bio,
I didn’t forget,
I’m just thinkin’ and thinkin’
trying not to fret.
I don’t really know you
but I love you just the same,
I feel better already,
no more weight will I gain.

April 1, 2009 at 9:35 pmAfter one of our dance lessons, I embarrassed my husband by doing the samba down the aisles of Hobby Lobby. Hey, it’s a great abs workout! π And once you get that rhythm in your head, you can’t stop!
And he SAYS he was embarrassed, but I know he was watchin’ my butt the whole time! LOL

April 1, 2009 at 10:15 pmROTFL! You are so crazy, MizFit! I love it!
Sounds like an absolutely great book! I’m going to see if my library can get it if I don’t win π I try to keep all my main meals in the 300 calorie or less range, so this would be absolutely perfect! And — I desperately need help planning some different meals. Woman cannot live by chicken breast alone!
