Ren Man frequently mocks me I often laugh at myself that Im a creature of habit in some ways and entirely NOT in others.
I love to shake up my daily/workout routine yet have a handful of products/on-the-run snacks which I find I use day in day out.
Week in. Week out.
Today I wanted to share some of those with you simply because I adore them and spend my hard earned cash on them.
Now, that said (and before the FTC comes and arrests my arse), here is my DIZCLAIMER.
My first experience with the first item below was completely for free. Sent my way to examine, wear, & see if I discovered any of the aforementioned LOVELOVE.
While today’s post DOES include a few giveaways I *asked* the companies if they would donate because of my adoration. They did not approach me.
Freakin eyeroll that I have to even say this shit on a blog where I make no income.
Onward.
Because Im finally figuring out wordpress (go me! only almost 2 years later!) if you want to learn more about the items you need only click on the photos.
If you dont care—just keep on skimming.
My first fave thing are the yoga pants pictured below. I adore how comfy they are. I *adore* the forgiving waistband (I have a few pairs of pull-on pants where the elastic band is always digging into me. hate that.). That said, they are 100% yoga or ‘around town’ pants for me.
Im a sweater and would melt into a puddle were I to attempt to lift in these.
Just a heads up.
Next, a pair of matching tees which are entirely self-explanatory & are for the feminist princess in all of us.
This next item has become a staple in my Texas wardrobe & I freakin adore it. I wear it to run, lift, grab coffee in, hit the playground with the Tornado in (Im in the skirt. Not the Tornado. That’s some bad sentence structure). I wear it all the time. I own it in black, blue, pink and red.
I should be embarrassed but I am not.
Ahhhh. The shoes pictured below (mine. The Tornados were courtesy of Target should you care) were procured via Ebay. That said, I happily admit I own no dress shoes but possess the Nike Air Rifts in myriad colors. The sparkles are my dressy pair while the pink (seen here) are more my around town kicks.
The snack below has been a fave of mine for longer than I can remember (four years?). I initially began buying them because I LOVED the individual packs as I have zero portion control around trail mix.
Im still buying them because I love their trail mix. A lot. As in I was living in a different country for a while away from Ren Man and wouldnt let him visit me without hauling some Crum Creek along as well.
Im addicted to this stuff. ’nuff said. If you are at all curious for more—click the photo below.
And last, but not least, another item Ive been a fan of since it first came out. The GLUTEN FREE highER protein cereal in individual packages (you can yell at me in the comment about my wrapper waste. I know…).
Along with my trail mix & my jerky you can *always* find a few bags of these in my car trunk & purse.
And there you go.
A random mishmash of things I love and a post which was initially so so long that NONE of you would ever have made it to the end without skimming.
(Translation: coming soon: my fave books, mags, & quirky fitness equipment)
I do have (cue confetti) a mishmash of treats to go along with my mishmash of a post.
For the lowlow price of a comment below you can be entered to win:
*One six pack of Chipper jerky.
*One 12 pack of Kay’s Naturals cereal (in a flavor of your choosing)
*A pair of the iambeyond yoga pants (these are only available in a black size small but would make a fab gift as well).
To be entered please hit us all up in the comments with one of your FAVE things in any realm.
All three winners announced 12.14 USA and Canada only.

December 11, 2009 at 4:06 amGreat post, and I Love Love Love the matching t-shirts! My absolute fave thing right now is my iPod Touch. I don’t think I could get through a single day without it – it comes everywhere with me. I listen to music in the gym and podcasts in the car (including TwoFitChicks, of course), in the grocery store, in the mall…you name it. And audiobooks too – I listen to them if I’m taking a long walk outside, it’s like someone is walking next to me telling me a story!

Have a great weekend, Carla!

Clothes-wise, right now, it’s getting very cold, so I am loving the hoodie I bought way back when I was at University. It never fit me until this year, and I’ve owned the dang thing since 2000!
Shoe-wise, I LOVEmy Crocs. I know they’re ugly, but I believe in being kind to my feet!

December 11, 2009 at 7:01 amMy Garmin Forerunner is my favorite thing. My husband got it for me 4 years ago for Christmas. Best gift I ever received. I love knowing exactly how far I ran or biked. At first that is all I really used it for. Now I use it on HIIT days – I can see exactly how fast I am running and what my slow down pace is. It is also pretty motivating to see your pace if you are working at speeding up or anything. Best gift ever!

December 11, 2009 at 7:07 amI love it when bloggers share their favorite things. It gives me new things to try! I had my feet fitted once for running shoes and they told me I should wear Mizunos. December 11, 2009 at 7:54 amThe Tornado’s T reminds me of a Japanimation my kids used to enjoy: Revolutionary Girl Utena. The premise of the story is that as a young girl, Utena lost her parents and her home. A prince came along and gave her a ring and a promise, and from that day on the girl knew what she wanted… to become the prince, and do the rescuing.
anyway, my favorite things:
–Boneless skinless chicken breast: they’re the foundation for so many of my favorite foods
— TREADMILLS! love ’em. Don’t know why, I just like the idea of walking or running without dealing with stray dogs, rain, snow, or creepy people on the trail.
— Protein enriched anything. Just as long as it’s not those shakes! (shudder)
— comfy sneakers. Gotta get me a pair of those!
— My George Foreman Grill. I use it every day!

December 11, 2009 at 8:05 amThis is a great list of fun stuff! Love the shirt phrase.I get my yoga pants from VS but I rarely do yoga unless I fall down. Then I yogabackup.
My favorite things have to be my lymphedema compression hose because without those, I probably could not walk because the swelling would eventually take over the planet. Plus, the hose smooth out the legs so that I can wear yoga pants in size enormous.
If I did not have lymphedema, my favorite things would be my ballet shoes, my tutu, my leotard, my tap shoes and my ballet teacher.
Alas.

In theory I try to mix things up, foodwise, but in practice I fall in love with something and eat it all the damn time. I’ve been having the same breakfast for about nine months straight (smoothie & whole wheat muffin w/ almond butter & walnuts). The only thing that changes is the smoothie flavor.
And clothes? Gimme a pair of jeans that fits and a few t-shirts and I’m set for a year.

Favourite things?
I love my zills. Nothing makes you want to shimmy around the room than chicka chickying with some shiny zingy finger cymbols.
Oatmeal and blueberris for breakfast. I seriously have had it for about 3 months now…and I still love it.
And my blender and my breadmaker. Endless smoothis and homemade bread. Oh. Yeah.
I love seeing other people’s favourite things 🙂

December 11, 2009 at 10:01 amOoooh, I share the much love for the beef jerky, covet the self-rescuing princess shirt (I know, it’s on thinkgeek, but I’m banned from fashion purchases until 20101…so COVET), and love my running skirts too.
On my list o healthy fave things: my zune, my aasics, my yoga mat, dance dance revolution, costco beef jerky packs, costco 5 lb bags of pistachios, costco pure protien bars, honeycrisp apples, any and all sorts of caffeine free herbal tea, and hershey kisses.
Lets not even get started on clothes. As you noticed above I’m banned for the month, and it’s because I’ve been thrift shopping every weekend. It’s been 10 days and I’m already twitching. I have a problem. Right now, my fave fashion is boots, tights, a skirt/dress, and a sweater. Usually accompanied by a jacket that matches my outfit (I’ve got about 10), and a scarf and gloves that matches the jacket and outfit. FYI, work has ZERO dress code beyond covering your naughty bits. I have problems.
And those cocoa almonds are gooooooood….

Third – I’m looking for an exercise skirt with attached capris/pants. What company did you get your skirts from again?

December 12, 2009 at 9:06 amPowerballs. My cyclocross yoda’s wife made them for us once and I begged her for the recipe. They’re a two-bite snack that will provide about enough energy for 15 miles on the bike. Recipe here http://trihardist.blogspot.com/2008/08/recipe-file-powerballs.html

December 13, 2009 at 7:46 amI LOVE your fav things post. I haven’t tried any of those things before but many of them look quite appealing. The yoga pants and running skirts look super comfy and flattering! Also, the TRAIL MIX looks delish- I also have zero portion control around trail mix so individual packages are the way for me!
I just did a favorite things post recently as well… but mine is sad because I didn’t have anything to giveaway 🙂
PS Happy Hanukkah!

December 13, 2009 at 11:03 amMy favorite food right now is yogurt made using Charlotte’s recipe. I was spending $$ per week on organic non-fat yogurt from the grocery store and now I make my own for the price of a gallon of milk!
Favorite thing is my cheap Insignia mp3 player. I keep a couple of audio books (free downloads from the library) and a couple of movies on it and never get stuck in line, in traffic, at gym with nothing to do.
Happy Hanukkah all!

October 27, 2010 at 1:30 pmI recently studied the manga to view if this anime is worth the ballyhoo, and in my view it is worth following. For those who do not study any manga or acknowledge anything about it, Bakuman establishes us a peep at the exertion put into preparing one, and the stress and uncertainness a mangaka goes through. I feel Bakuman establishes a realistic perspective of what goes on behind the scenes to make a manga, well as pragmatic as it can be given it is Shoujo and they need to prompt the narration to keep it gripping.
