Some Friday musings from the mind of a misfit (bulleted for your reading pleasure):
- Id estimate two of you reading saw the word CHICKENBUS & immediately knew what I meant. Once upon a time I was a mom blogger. Once upon a time I settled upon the word chickenbus as substitute for swearwords (and, inexplicably, for the word STUFF as in this post title). I cant lie to you, People. Ive been missing my mom-blog days. Life is set to change a WHOLE LOT soon (Hello Garten of the Kinder!) and while I’ll always be fitness—the mamahood is going to take a wee bit of precedence. Please to consider this your heads-up. Same old FITNESS with a wee bit *more* of the stopping, musing, navel gazing and life-sharing.
- This bullet point is super important. Instead of recreating the already well-written wheel I shall point you to this post. Id imagine many of you, as I am, are participating in the auction and are already aware—-but if you are NOT please to read and spread the word. I LOVE ME SOME SUSAN and am, again, in awe at the power of our Tribe.
- This one is, sadly, just fer the ladies. Lately Ive been focusing on my hips. The source of my
unrelenting painmild owienessment is my piriformis yet Kia made a comment to me recently which struck a chord. She remarked how women carry the bulk of our stress in the hips. This is something I knew *intellectually* knew and yet scoffed at. I scoff no more. Id love to hear your experiences with this concept. Do you carry stress in your hips? Do (as a few friends have shared) you find certain yoga poses or stretches can bring you to tears because they serve to release & open these emotions? I have a post coming about my experiences and would love to include yours as well.
- Fit Stanley & Stella have hit the road! And thanks to Ryan at No More Bacon they have a home at FitStanley.com As soon as I start getting your emails/FITventure stories the posts shall commence!
And that’s where I short & sweet I am on this Friday.
Warning you of navel-gazing ahead & chickenbus ahead.
Imploring you to join me in The Great Fundraising Act.
*Seeking* your hip/back area stress-stories and curious if/how you over came.
