Oh how I adored the day of the PINK GLOVES.*
Oh how happy it made my heart they returned.
No matter how ephemerally.
It was a PINKtastic day.**
(countdown to kinder? five more days…)
*I know it takes time to go back to old posts—but you may think me (her?) a lunatic if you missed said gloves the first time.
**The rest of the day was lived not blogged. Shocking I realize.
Beautiful.
I had completely forgotten this post, Miz.
How fun they came back.
There has been a lot more living than blogging for me lately trying to find a happy medium!
Oh my goodness I had never seen the first pink gloves post.
I love it and her and you, Miz.
I love that you lived and did not blog.
LOL
I had missed the first post too.
I long to be as comfortable with who I am as the Tornado.
So so so so so so cute! #thatisall
Vive la Pink Gloves! Love this! More of us are living & not blogging. 🙂
I LOVE the PINK gloves! I too have been doing much mire living than blogging lately – glad to hear I’m not the only one. Have a great day Carla!
If any week was meant to be lived not blogged, this one is it. We only get the kindergarten send off once. 🙂
So sweet, Carla.
She is ready for school and to be her own person.
No worries about that girl.
Prescious.
I adore the clasped hands.
I can’t pass the glove display in the grocery store without thinking of this!
I know you like Dr Seuss and this post brought to mind his quote: those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.
LOVE Carla! Love the pink gloves, love the live & not blog, LOVE the original post & the meaning behind it & especially what the adults wished for…. Thx for a great wordless Wednesday post & adorable Tornado.
OH – the last pic, priceless!
I heart her.
I am loving watching your countdown to her big milestone. You are such a beautiful mix of excitement and sadness. Beautiful post, my friend.
That second post is the cutest! Adorable
I love you capturing the moments.
Love that girl UP.
I love how much you enjoy motherhood Miz.
I did miss the pre-today pink gloves posts … soooooooo the jury is still out on the lunacy 😉 hehehe
I remember that post! It made me think about what I’d like to wear if I didn’t care what others thought. Mine was a tiara and sparkly things and lights. Well, I’m coming to Austin in January to do a 5K and I’m going to wear that tiara. And a tutu. All while wearing a gorilla suit. Yep, the Gorilla Run in Austin. Can’t wait!
Love the princess with her pink gloves. I think that’s one of my favorite posts. 🙂 It’s just so her. So original. She’s not afraid to be the Tornado!
I think the kindercountdown is going to have ME an emotional wreck 😉
I like at the end where you say the day was lived, not blogged. Lately I’ve been trying to shift the balance on that back where it should be. My traffic doesn’t agree with me, but I’m just going to have to stop looking at the numbers and do what I can.
I always hear things you don’t even say in your posts!
So cute.
She is her own unapologetically herself kindergartner.
I dont know if you saw my status update yesterday Kerri but it was an AH HA! moment for me.
I wrote this afterward and was simply beyond thankful we lived and we present and I wasnt distracted by trying to take photos or jot things down.
life is just too short.
I still smile thinking about the pink gloves. Wonder if they will go to kindergarten.
I’m a nosy one 🙂
What was the update?
Oh and I also think of the Tornado each time I wash dishes LOL
WOW! I will forever think of her when I see PINK gloves. Actually I need to find my own “pink gloves”…so inspirational!
🙂 and I wasnt trying to be coy…just not bore you all with my life-minutia (hmmm sp?).
It was this:
I walked around today (dressed identically to the 5 yo. Her choice) feeling as though something great could happen. And then I realized something great was happening. Is happening. This is it.
and it really was a tremendous lightbulb moment for me.
Oh I need to get me some pink gloves 😉
She’s adorable!
I needed to reread the first post today.
THANK YOU!
I have one word…..”AWWWWW”!!! (is that even a word? Well, today it is! Your daughter is lovely) Have a wonderful day.
That last photo made me grin madly. 🙂
I am dying to know what she’s going to wear on her first day of school – your girl has got STYLE!
I remember the pink gloves- cutest story ever! 🙂
Love that you lived and not blogged… And of course adore your girl and pink gloves 🙂
Cherish these moments – they are gone far too quickly
5 days!? (4 now??) Are you just soaking up every single atom of her right now? I love her sweet sweet smile.
