(What all little Jewish boys & girls hope is found beneath the Hanukkah bush)
Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah.
(Which means we’ve been singing this song for over a month already. And dancing to it. This time of year it trumps even the Bieber in our domicile!)
I’ve talked before about how we celebrate the holiday and SO much more than anything Im thankful this year will be no different.
I wondered with the start of kindergarten if the Tornado would be more “things” & “stuff” focused this year and ask for toys and treats (she has not).
I wondered with the start of kindergarten if the Tornado would be more Christmas aware and focused and feel the tiny tug of wanting to assimilate (she has not).
Since I can’t invite all of you over for my infamous & potentially yucky famous latkes I decided to give you a different treat.
A piece of myself & glimpse into my life as it’s something I do on a regular basis.
This way we can be together in a virtual sense and nudgeprod each other into staying fit on the go during this hectic season.
I tote mine with me everywhere in case I have a free moment.
I highly recommend hanging them ANYWHERE & squeezing in a quick workout.
As in anywhere. As in git that fitness in where you can!
Hide from the family!
They rock to lessen the stress of holiday shopping & returns.
No matter where you do em—be sure to refuel afterward.
I love surprising random strangers with a dont forget the circuit training! treat.
I adore using them as a way to connect & spend time with the NotSoStrangers, too.
I feel as though Ive connected with so many of you since last year and only grown closer to those I already knew.
It’s not a Big!Oprah!Giveaway!, but it’s something Ive made and, if nothing else, motherhood has taught me homemade gifts are always the best.
No admonishments to like me on facebook (but feel free to tell me why I should have a fanpage. I have no interest in a fanpage).
No you’d better tweet this post 3675 times to be entered to win.
Just comment if you’re interested and Ill include you in the drawing.
And to my Jewish friends a very happy Hanukkah.
Six winners. All are eligible. Winner announced 1.1.12.
oh happy hanukkah! Don’t think i could tell you why you need a FB page. We covered those bases, haha.l
But i do want some latkes and those fit cards! If i don’t win, can i still ask for a cooking lesson when i get back?
😉
Cheers!
HOW FUNNY IS IT the post was written before you asked about fan pages too!
I have no fans—just friends.
I love the photo of the cards hanging on the Tornado 😉
A great time of year to give these away! Enjoy the holiday!
Morning mama! Happy Hanukkah to you and all. Now that my fitness routine has become so important it is harder to get in. Need cards. Will order if I don’t win. <3
Between all the office parties and holidays centered on fried foods, sour cream, and chocolate gelt, a fun way to squeeze in fitness is terrific. THAT would be the miracle of the oil.
Happy Hanukah,
Mike
I love these Carla.
I’d keep them in my purse!!
Happy Hanukkah!
I would keep these in my car so I had no excuses not to workout.
I need a good motivator–I’m in a slump:)
I’ve wanted these for a while.
I’d leave them in my gym locker and do them after a run!
Happy Hanukkah!! Those cards look amazing and I can’t imagine how much work went into creating them! I would take them to the gym to prevent any “wandering-around-what-do-I-do-next”.
It would also be a nice thing to have in the family room where my kids break into spontaneous pushups and jumping on the Bosu (it’s like our indoor trampoline). The kids and I would enjoy that visual display of workout ideas from which to pick things to do!
I’d love to see our gym have a few sets for members to pick up and use to plan their workouts!
I would bring these in my car.
I would bring them near and far.
Happy holidays to you.
I’d love to workout with YOU TOO!!
Happy Hanukkah Miz!
I would lurve to win these cards. I’ve tried in the past but feelin’ lucky. I don’t belong to a gym which I rather enjoy the outdoors. When it gets too cold for the great outdoors I head inside to do my own thang! This is where I need YOU! and your awesome motivation!!! If I could have you in real life I’d flip!!! However you on cards will doing just merrily 🙂 Enjoy the season…….
Oh please, please pick me! I so want these!
YAY for giving so many away.
Have a happy Hanukkah, Miz.
I can’t wait to try these because I will win, right?? LOL
First of all….Happy Hanukkah to you!
I would enjoy these cards immensely because they would guide me through a quiet workout in the early morning that wouldn’t wake the kids. 🙂
As for the fan page? It might be a good place to put out some daily thoughts that won’t fit in the 140 character space of Twitter.
I want these for Christmas!
What a great idea for keeping fit while traveling!!!! I travel a lot for work (boo), and the gyms are sometimes less than stellar – I would LOVE a set of these! Happy Hanukkah!!
I’d love to have these to bring when I travel.
Hotel room workouts RULE!
Many wishes for an abundance of Hanukkah happiness this year!
Happy Hanukkah to you, Tornado & RenMan & all your loved ones as well! I would so love to tote you around with me! 😉
Fan Pages, I see so much of – have no idea even how to do that even if I wanted to – I guess that does not surprise you with my little computer & tech savvy. I am sure you would be HUGE though!
Enjoy celebrating& being with family!
Happy Hanukkah Miz! Enjoy your wonderful family. It’s funny I was just thinking about these as we get ready to travel. Hmm…..
Happy Hanukkah!!
Does the winner get some of your famous latkes too???
What a great gift! Happy Hanukkah!!!
I love contests! Looks like a good one!
Oh Miz I’ve wanted these!!!!
Happy Hanukkah! Not here to win it, just here to wish you health and blessings.
Of course I am interested! And Happy Hanukkah!
Love them in the grocery aisle.
I’d love to win theses, Carla.
Happy Hanukah.
I’m interested!
Whooo boy I love latkes! I don’t believe that you can ruin them no matter what you say. Happy Hannukah to you and yours Miz!
I’m interested! In the spirit of hanukah I will deep fry them and then light them on fire, one by one.
hilarious 😉
(just kidding) 🙂
Happy Hanukkah! We are getting together with family on Monday so I’ll be frying up some latkes then.
Happy Hanukkah, Carla (and Renman and Tornado)!
I don’t get fan pages for bloggers – just seems like twice the amount of places to visit and keep up with.
Happy excuse to eat fried donuts day!!
I could definitely use something like this! I need a spark in my work-outs!
Happy Hanukkah, Miz! Thanks for the chance to win…I’ll be crossing my fingers tightly! 😀
Happy Hannukah! I will skip on the workout cards -inspired though they are – and maybe even send you some of my oh-so-delicious latkes.
I’ll see your Maccabeats and raise you a LeeVees Hanukkah song!

The cards look tres cool — they’d be great hanging on my Christmas tree … er, I mean Hanukkah bush.
you know I luv me some Miz….Happy Hanukkah my friend! 🙂
I would love these.
And you.
Come here and train me please!!!
Happy Hanukkah my friend! This is the easiest giveaway ever 🙂
I’d love more fuel for my fitness fire!
Mmmm…latkes. I know there was other information in the post, but all I can think about is latkes 🙂
Happy Hannukkah Carla. Many blessings to you, Ren Man and Tornado. 🙂
Hi!
I’m not jewish but would love to be included in your drawing! Sweat doesn’t discriminate!
Keep up the excellent work! Happy holidays!
Kelley
Id love to use them in the grocery aisles.
Think I’d get arrested??
Happy Hanukkah to you Mizfit! I have all the sets of cards already (and thinking about using them today – I’m at home, recovering from the plague, and not sure I’m up for the gym yet, so it’s a perfect day!) so no need to enter me. Just wanted to wish you a happy day!
…I also wanted to come apologize for my mean ol’ spam filter – for some reason it liked your comments so much it wanted to eat them. I have rectified this and hopefully it will not be so mean in the future. 🙂
I really like the clip thing on these!
I’d wear them around the office on my belt loop!
HAPPY HANUKKAH!!! I have sufganiyot dough going, and potatoes being shredded and fish being thawed. I am up to my elbows in sour cream and applesauce!! Have a great Hanukkah!!
Happy Hanukkah to you and your family!
These were be a great way to get started with my increased exercising in the new year 🙂
Happy Hanukkah, Mizfit and Family.
Knowing you makes my life better.
I’d love one. I could always use ideas for quick workouts anywhere.
I would hang them from my office door!!
BIG Happy Hannukah to you and your family. I’m sure your latkes are FAR from yucky! I am so glad I found your blog this year!!! You are inspiring, entertaining and I have learned so much. Thank you!!!
Happy Hanukkah girl. I’m not doing much this year because of our living situation. Next year when we live in our own place I want to get a menorah and light the candles and say the prayer for Sam to learn. I haven’t sung to the menorah since my mother past back in 2005. 🙁
I could definitely use some quick workout ideas. I’d love one of those!
Happy hanukka Miz!!!
I’ve wanted these for a while. I need to just buy them.
Happy Hanukkah, Miz!
The cards look awesome! I would probably tote them around. I’m not Jewish, and I don’t usually eat fried food or potatoes, but Hanukkah seems like a great reason to break out the oil and spuds! =)
Ooh ooh pick me! Pick me!
Just saying Happy Hanukkah. Don’t worry, I’ll cook my own latkes. [drool] I don’t need the cards: I have no problem fitting strange exercises into my spare minutes!
I went to see the play A Christmas Carol this weekend and saw a little girl about six and her mother sharing Hanukah gelt during intermission.
Happy Happy Hanukkah to you.
I read some of your linked posts and I’m sorry you had the Hallowe’en experience – and yet how positive and strong of you to turn it into an “aha” moment and turn towards embracing (all of) who you are.
Glad Tornado is feeling the Hanukkah spirit as well.
These would be helpful to have. I am always trying
To come up w/ workout ideas but spend so much
Time going thru magazines to try to put then together:-)cc
Yes yes yes i want in on this contest! Tightening budgets meant canceling the gym membership. Btw, Happy Hanukkah!
Happy Hanukkah! Latkes sound lovely, actually…
I’d probably buy them regardless, but I’d love to be entered in for a drawing of fit cards 🙂
Happy Hanukkah my dear, dear friend! I am so blessed to have you in my life both in card format (your cards have a permanent place in my gym bag and are often used in our workout rotation!) and in real/electronic (is there a difference anymore?) life.
SO need these cards…I’m trying to fit it in anywhere I can. Having kids makes it that much harder! But I’m teaching Henry (3) how do do burpees. 😉
I’ve not seen these before and would bring to the office with me!
Happy Hanukkah Mizzy!
I would send this to my sister so she can exercise at home.
i have a few clients who would love (and desperately need!) your workout cards!
Wishing a joyous and love-filled holiday to you and your family!
Happy Hanukkah!
I want! I want!
OMG I want these!
Is there a link to buy?
These would be a great gift to win! Thank you for your generosity, Carla! I’d love to use them for myself and to get new ideas for clients – sometimes you need to be reminded of “old school moves” or get hit with some fresh, innovative ideas to keep mixing it up for people. Thanks again and celebrate this season well. 😀
Happy Hanukkah to you! I enjoyed reading about how you celebrate Hanukkah. While I was raised fairly conservative, our Hanukkah celebrations have always included gifts. But, I really admire what you are teaching your daughter and would definitely consider that when I have kids of my own.
Happy Hanukkah and happy new year Carla! 🙂
Happy Hanukkah to you too, Carla! If I had these, I’d keep them near my menorah and as a reminder not to eat too many latkes!
Ohhh! I really like these cards…I’ve been looking for ways to squeeze in some exercise!
Im getting a little latke-Ed out here, so glad I can balance the meals with lots of fresh produce… I would love to win those cards, I love sneaking in some exercise wherever I can. Happy Hanukkah!!
I’ve heard these are awesome, would love to try them.
I have seen those and would love to try them
I’d love to win a set of those cards. I really need something to help get me back on track with my workouts. I’ve been having trouble over coming inertia since I recovered from my last injury.
