I am working to git straight for yet another time (far sooner than last. so there’s that.) & to that end Im off to a yoga workshop today.
(I know. I’m shocked too. want your jaw to drop even more? REN MAN is coming, too.)
Wish me luck.
I like 90 degrees just fine, but I prefer 180…
I am, however typing this on my new smart phone. My android, may he RIP, passed last week and methinks I’m learning the iPhone more swiftly than I’d anticipated. After today’s YOGA FOR HIPS workshop I shall be capable of tossing confetti and giving a big cheer.

You’re having that same muscle spasm means your piriformis is taking over the job of a big mover. Either one of the glutes or hammies. When you are out of pain, start back with ball/wall squats. FEEL the muscles (you do that well) and seek out the weak mover.
Slow controlled movements until you can reprogram that to fire on time.
