It’s RAOK Week again at the Child’s school.
Last year she chose to make Take What You Need signs, hang them in the hallways, and had so much fun with the whole process.
Her enjoyment was eclipsed by her happiness (AKA helpers high) when, at week’s end, she discovered kids really had “taken what they needed” from her signs.
It was with that experience in mind I leaped at the chance to write for Know Yourself about ways I’m endeavoring to teach her about self-care.
(Spoiler. The above scenario fits under the umbrella of my #8)
It’s a post about which I’m really proud.
It’s a post which applies to all of us (ages 3-103) whether we’re teaching ourselves the art of self-care or assisting another in learning its importance.
