I’m having trouble doing push ups correctly. Can you recommend any particular exercises to increase wrist and tricep strength. My biceps rock from running with weights, but because pushups are great for back and chest muscles I would like to do them more often. My husband says to just keep building up the number I can do but it’s lame not being able to do other exercises related to wrist ... Continue Reading

I am a creature of habit (guest post).
Please welcome Pamela. While she's sharing her musings on change---I'm off living the change. At a conference. Outside our tribe. Learning, exploring and embracing the change.  Ill be back soon with stories, I'm sure. Until then lets talk about HABITS... I am a creature of habit. I start each day with a cup of tea while reviewing my schedule and checking email. I plan ... Continue Reading

My one year crossfit affair (guest post).
I debated recently whether or not I wanted to post about my one year anniversary with Crossfit because I think my take on it is a little bit unique. But then it occurred to me that I should write about it because it is unique. My Crossfit anniversary was actually in July, so about a month ago. Prior to when I began in July of 2012 I had been circuit training and doing HIIT for about three ... Continue Reading
We’re STREAKING!!!
Unless it's your first time reading my blog, seeing me tweet , skimming my repetitive ever exciting instagram feed, hanging with me on the book of the face or TALKING TO ME EVER---you know Im not a runner. I love the promise of the run (it looks BADASS to just snag shoes, canine and GO!) yet Ive never found a mental happy running place. Which is also reason number ONE many of you were ... The secret to YOUR 2013 success.
Welcome to January. The month where the universe attempts to exploit our insecurities by promising it holds the (expensive) key to a healthier, happier and thinner us. Most proffer a quick-fix solution to goal achievement which, while not entirely ethical, actually makes some sense. Who wouldn’t, if given the choice between fast and easy or arduous and sweaty, pick the former? (thats not ... Continue Reading
Fall Fitness.
I decided that since it’s only a day off for all of us USA’ers Id still do a post. That way, should you reside in the USA (*and*have the day off as not all of us do), you mightcould skim, snag some tips &, git to living life (not reading about living). Should you live elsewhere, however, you can glean some info and perhaps share some of your tips & thoughts (for example: screw you ... Continue Reading
The not so scary side of BOOT CAMPS (guest post).
*The “Not So Scary” Side of Boot Camps* When you think of Boot Camp, I am guessing you are picturing some drill sergeant standing over you, sticking your face in the mud as she tells you to “Do 10 more!” That is what I picture when I hear those words, so I totally understand. When you look up the word Boot Camp on the internet, you get things such as: *-Camp for training military ... Continue Reading
BOSU Ball workout.
Have you ever tried the Bosu ball for a workout? I was wondering what kind of cardio I could achieve from this. Thanks! As Ive mentioned before I like to use emails (or questions left in the comments) that will apply to more than one person. Questions that many of us probably have even if only a few people take the time to send them in. Surprisingly (to me anyway) a bunch of you wondered ... Continue Reading
