Im still smitten with my chia but am woman enough to realize not everyone will follow suit.
Im also not crazy enough to think that anyone else’s Toddler Tornado (or Tween Tornado. Though by that age Im thinking that I mightcould be ready for some sulking as it shall involve less CHASING on my part) is all about the chia as is mine.
I give you this.
and, for those of you who no longer trust me (*waves at family*) after the great fish oil capsule experience of 2006 , their tag line is START ENJOYING OMEGA-3.
(so if it icks you out please to blame them.)
We’ve talked all about the reasons to add in the omega-3’s yet Im still receiving emails from people saying that they havent found a vehicle for ingestion which is appealing to them.
To the emailers I say: COROMEGA.
I wanted to check it out for myself so I ordered a free sample from their website and the rest, as they say, is Random Tuesday Facetime history:

April 29, 2008 at 6:13 amWhen I worked at a health food store many moons ago, a different company had this same concept, but hadn’t worked out the perfect way to mask the fishy flavor. It sounds like Coromega hit the nail on the head! And I love that it doesn’t need to be refrigerated.

April 29, 2008 at 6:15 amFor sure.
this might not be your fave taste sensation (I cant think offhand of the other flavors and Im not at the computer. I liked the orange!) but it is NOT at all fishy.
ick.
I throw up a little in my mouth just thumbtyping the word FISHY 🙂

April 29, 2008 at 6:55 amHmm… I’ll have to give this a shot. I try to get omega 3s from fish and nuts, but I’m pretty sure I’m not getting anywhere near enough. This sounds like it could do the trick!

April 29, 2008 at 6:56 amMercedes, I think I must’ve tried those. I got through a couple and then couldn’t face any more.
These seem like they’d be worth a try!
Thumbtyping, Miz? Are we mobile blogging now??
creatingadiva says
April 29, 2008 at 7:02 amoh miz, why oh why are you up and mobile blogging away before sunrise?
I’ve never deliberately set out to get omega 3s in but perhaps I should start…been a bit busy learning to substitute broccoli for cookies 😉
Miz, I’ve heard you refer to clean eating a lot lately…did you ever do a post on it or how do you define clean eating?
MizFit says
April 29, 2008 at 7:08 amShelley? I’d say you flatter me but I’m not sure I’d create any decent posts via mobile 😉 so I’m simply moble responding as the MizFit is rarely at the computer during the day.
But when I do dash by, CreatingADiva, I shall link that clean eating post as you’re not the first to ask….
(I know. I need a search button.)

April 29, 2008 at 7:29 amYou know, I won’t take supplement advice from just anyone. But you? You I will listen to. I’ll keep an eye out (and in the meantime endure the fishy-lemon burps my GNC omegas give me). Thanks!
Gena says
April 29, 2008 at 7:35 amInteresting….sounds better than the fish oil or the fish oil capsules. Still, I never can remember to take supplements (or even medication). I just try to get everything covered in my diet!

April 29, 2008 at 7:44 amAND charlotte I can 100% promise you won’t resent the money spent on the free sample packet!
😉
Gena, food is always a better call & with the fatty acids you TOTALLY can get enough through foods.
And Kelly?
The gym members called.
They say THANK YOU.

April 29, 2008 at 8:24 amInteresting. I shall check it out. However, I’m honestly having a hard time getting by the fact that they contain the same stuff that could possibly give somebody a fishy burp. Having two kids – I’ve seen some gross stuff – but that concept makes me gag. A LOT.

April 29, 2008 at 8:51 amI’m with Charlotte! I wish they sent free samples to Canada…
MizFit says
April 29, 2008 at 8:54 amYou didn’t hear it from ME but I’d email them, say you read about them here and are saddened (wipes shriveled lacking in omega 3 tear from eye) they won’t send to Canada.
I’ve contacted them as well.
Maybe it’ll work!

The Bag Lady says
April 29, 2008 at 1:23 pmIn the meantime, the Bag Lady gets her Omega 3 in pill form. The one she uses doesn’t cause fish burps. Thank heavens! She tried a different pill before she found this one and the repeats were terrible.
She doesn’t like fish, and fish burps are the worst…

Thank you!!

April 29, 2008 at 4:34 pmHmmm…I’ve had a bottle of Trader Joe’s fish oil capsules sitting — unopened — on my counter since Christmas. My friend bought them for me and for herself, but she said they gave her fish burps. After that, I was too chicken to try them. But I know I should; my Shape dietitan was very big on the fish oil for its metabolism-boosting benefits.
Perhaps I’ll have to sample the COROMEGA.

April 29, 2008 at 10:46 pmOooh…so when you order your free sample, it asks you if your info is correct and you can type into the where did you hear about it field http://www.MizFitOnline.com!!!!
It’s not on the drop down menu but you can type it in on the next page.
Just sayin…
MizFit says
April 30, 2008 at 4:12 amand then (not that Id ever do this :)) you can remind them to ship to canada!

May 1, 2008 at 8:19 amI’m so glad to see I’m not the only one scared away by the fish-burps! They were AWFUL and my omega-3 experiment only lasted a day or two because of them. (shudder) Bag Lady, would you want to say what your brand is? I’ve heard there are some that don’t cause the fish-burps but don’t know what to try. And I can’t eat flax seed so…
Meanwhile, this Coromega sounds like an awesome idea and I’ve sent for my free sample. Can’t wait to see how it goes because I’ve been looking for something like this. Thanks, M.!

May 1, 2008 at 8:22 amHey V,
Have you tried the chia?
Hidalgofoods.com might send you a sample if you asked!
(Not sure if it would help or *hinder* to say I sent you!)

May 18, 2010 at 10:54 amI am just concerned about the main source of Omega 3 which is the liver of fish. as you can see, fishes can accumulate mercury and pcb. ‘,:
