Now Missy, sayeth the ThumbTyping Wonder which is the MizFit, you know as well as I do that your (fingerquote) prize (unFQ) is living your life to the fullest and embracing every day with joy, love, laughter, and a lack o’processed foods.
I’m going to a baseball game this evening. Does watching minor league athletes count? Maybe they’ll inspire me to do something? I’ll be knitting at the game, and that burns calories!
Is the whole thing voided by the fact that it’s Thirsty Thursday, meaning cheap beer at the game?
I’m taking up golf courtesy of my husband’s desire to learn the game. Does that count? Let’s just say, I keep trying to put it off, but he’s rather insistent and if it means we get to spend time without the kiddos together, it’s gotta be romantic, right?
I started swimming again. And found out that being able to run 5K without walking does not mean my body is back in shape for swimming (this coming from a former head lifeguard/swim instructor who used to swim a mile three times a week).
I’m strapping on the ol’ pedometer every day while I attempt to follow the kiddos around. Today is the second day I feel almostnearlynotquite well, after 18 days of seriously arse-kicking illness. I haven’t been lgging anything because most days have been in the 3-4,000 step range. I had 2 days in the 6,000’s and both of those days I was on the couch, fetal position, with fever and chills by dinnertime. So I’m taking it easy, letting my body recover and hoping that I may one day be able to lace up the nearly brand-new running shoes that have been mocking me from the closet for the past few weeks.
My goal is to exercise 3 times per week. Lat week I exercised just once b/c of a busy schedule, but I want to be able to exercise 3 X week REGARDLESS of schedule. So, this is my goal for this week.
