February 25, 2009 at 2:46 amI love those – so simple! Just “to exercise X body part, do Y exercise”. It’s exactly what I need, because I have a tendency to over-research, to use “I don’t know how” as an excuse to stop me from doing anything. Plus, I think they’d be great for countering “I don’t have time” – just pick one body part and go!
Lance says
February 25, 2009 at 3:31 amHi Miz –
Videos galore! It’s like watching my own little MizFit-athon!
Workout cards? I’d use them with my kids – make it a game somehow (if the exercises are appropriate). I’d keep ’em in my briefcase/backpack – that’s going to get the most travel time.
karen says
February 25, 2009 at 4:33 amI thought I was a fan before … now I think I might just be girl-crushing on you! Love the kitchen exercise and think I might actually be able to do the Blooper Back Plank with no problem whatsoever!!! π
As for the cards I’m going to have to order them if you don’t find it in your heart to just send me some. They’d be SO helpful at work on the nights when I actually get a break and can find someplace to break a sweat gland!
Natalia Burleson says
February 25, 2009 at 4:53 amHeyMiz! Thanks for putting all those videos together. Bookmarking this page for sure!
The video cards are great idea! I would use them at home and at the gym. I have a hard time getting weight training in, because I don’t know what I’m doing. So these would be like my own personal cheat sheet! Love it! π
Helen says
February 25, 2009 at 5:37 amThanks so much for all of these grouped together.
I wonder if you could just cut and paste and make it a page at your blog?
Could you burn them to a dvd and sell them for us?
so we could work out with you at home?
Thanks!!!

I would bring that to the gym with me LOL.

February 25, 2009 at 6:07 amThis page is getting bookmarked by me too! Thanks for working so hard to help us all get fit. I love Lance’s idea of making these cards a game with your kids. That’s exactly what I’ll do. Don’t enter me in the contest however, I’ve already got some on the way from Nuruplanet. Thanks!
Linda says
February 25, 2009 at 6:15 amWow! Nice collection of vids.
Those cards are neat. Not sure what I’d use them for…probably for when I get my new workout space set up…another great resource.
make it a great day.

February 25, 2009 at 6:17 amWhy is it that when I come here I always feel so UNfit?

February 25, 2009 at 6:23 amThanks, but you can leave me out of the drawing. I’m already playing with a full deck, although you may have heard otherwise.
I got’s to know: What does your shirt say? All my squinty eyes can come up with is “Love Monster”, but I don’t think that’s it.

February 25, 2009 at 6:32 amI would love to have these in my car — to bring into the gym when I know I have a few extra minutes to work out or to pull out at the park when I’m with my kids and my mind goes blank on what I could be doing to squeeze in a workout.
Kelly says
February 25, 2009 at 6:36 amI would totally bring these to the gym with me instead of my magazine ripouts.
I had seen them before but not in person. I think I may just buy a pack if I don’t win.
I, too, would adore a MizFit dvd.
Any chance for that?
Diana says
February 25, 2009 at 6:45 amI’d probably just have them at home while working out.
Wow, MF…the mounf o exercise videos you’ve done are impressive!
Gemfit says
February 25, 2009 at 6:55 amFirstly, I love the vid-links. I second the suggestion from somewhere up there that you make this a permanent page on the blog.
And the cards? I’d store them at work for those long days when I can’t get home or to the gym early but I have minutes somewhere in the day to throw in some exercise.
In fact, I’ve been thinking about buying a pack/creating something myself from my mag workouts. Might have to get onto that if I don’t win.
suzanne says
February 25, 2009 at 6:56 amOh i could definitely put those to good use π I’m pretty much a newbie at using weights etc… and any added motivation would be a great thing!!
Nina says
February 25, 2009 at 7:09 amCool cards. I like anything that fits in a pocket, since if I carry a purse, all the junk in the world become magnetically attracted to them. I was scary when I had a diaper bag to carry. I think it weighed 40 lbs., a workout in itself.
I looked at their site, too… it’s worth noting that they have a neat pack of emergency/first aid cards, might really be worth having for those of us who keep trying (and failing) to remember to brush up first aid skills.
MizFit says
February 25, 2009 at 7:11 amNina, I saw those too. I almost wanna just get em all since they are so reasonably priced.
Am I remembering right that there are golf ones too?
I need to look again…
Melissa says
February 25, 2009 at 7:15 amWOW!!! I am so bookmarking this page, AND if I don’t get the free Nuru cards I’m going to buy them anyway.
(My fat bet starts today! Unfortunately I dropped a bunch of pounds in the week previous–just nervous or something, I guess. I tried to eat a bunch last night, so as to boost the start weight, but it didn’t work. :-P)
Gena says
February 25, 2009 at 7:15 amThose cards sound really neat! Anything that helps me shake up my routine is good, because I often get stuck in a workout rut.
Great tips yesterday, too, and the Mizfit Magazine? Awe-Some! (Just read the post this morning. I’ve been living under a rock for the past week.)
Lynn C says
February 25, 2009 at 7:28 amOoooh, I totally need these. Wasn’t I just talking with you about this the other day – I think it was you?
I’ve been doing some strength training in addition to my cardio, and I’ve seen some impressive results in my bicep area by doing pushups. I was looking at my arm the other day, straight on and was like “Wow, look at that, I have a skinny-girl arm” and then I moved and realized that by just focusing on the pushups, I’ve been neglecting other areas of my arm, which now looks mildly off-balanced. The tricep area is all loose (blech!)
Anyway, I would so totally love to have something small and organized like that which I would put in my gym bag. My bag is a bright lime green, my favorite color! I carry my gym keys in there, with the keychain that says Shiny New Australia on it (If you haven’t watched Dr. Horrible and you like Joss Whedon, you really, really should watch it, it’s trippy!) I also keep a towel, my inhaler, a bottle of water, my phone (so I can tweet from the treadmill, god, that’s geeky!), a banana, my iPod Shuffle, and generally a banana or peach in there. It’s got multiple pockets, but sometimes I feel like I’m not taking as much advantage of the bag as I could, and this would give me something else to put in there that I could feel proud about!

February 25, 2009 at 7:34 amLOVE the workout videos. Especially since I woke up with a stomachache and did NOT make it to the gym this morning. π But! I have weights and a Pilates ball at home, and can do some of this after work! Woo-hoo! π
LOVE the cards, btw. I get so distracted at the gym (I have the attention span of a goldfish) that I finally started compiling a master list of all the exercises my trainer gave me. So every time I go to the gym, I drag my list along and lay it on the floor. That way when I can’t remember what to do, I can look down, scan the list and go, “Oh! I haven’t done THAT in a while!” LOL
Valerie says
February 25, 2009 at 7:41 amLOVE the cards – how great would these be for traveling? Very compact and handy to carry with you. Do they include band exercises (or exercises easily adapted to bands)? Cause that would be the perfect combo…I could definitely see me keeping these in the bag I always use when we travel, with my exercise bands.
Thanks for the links, I’m definitely bookmarking this post for future easy video reference!

These cards look super awesome, they’d be loads of fun to use when traveling or to use with working out with a partner. My sister has a love/hate relationship with exercise so this would be a perfect way to get her motivated if she saw these little cards in her bag all the time!

February 25, 2009 at 10:10 amWhat a great idea! When I rave about anything besides my running and yoga, which people seem to get, the biggest comment is – “how do you know what to do?” Lucky for me, I have a lot of background knowledge having been a gymnast and diver for the first 18 years of my life (conditioning, conditioning, conditioning – hated it but had to do it to get strong enough for the fun stuff), but that would be GREAT for someone needing a pocket guide. And I’m sure I’d learn a thing or twenty myself. π
