A selection so vast
Im truly in awe!
Time to add seeds!
The choice? Up to you!
They’ve hemp seeds & flax
and sesame too!
There are nuts a’plenty
should you wanna include
Cashew? Hazel?
Depends on the mood!
There are MIND BLOWING extras
(No Im not being funny.
They range from the ginger
right down to the gummy!)
Last but not least
The nutrition is there.
The calorie count
(should you really care).
Now you have to agree
like the ‘nola or NOT.
The sites pretty neat
A FAB concept they’ve got!
Im so excited about this freebie, Oh Bumbling Band.
It’s something Ive not even had the chance to sample myself because I REALLY wanted to pass the experience on to you.
So get to it.
Clickclickclick through the site, mentally create yer granola & tell me what youd make should you win.

I would have:

March 6, 2009 at 6:56 amOh wow too cool. Just dreaming (since I doubt they deliver to NZ lol) but I would totally go with Cherries and blueberries in the organic mix with pistachios, hazelnuts and hemp and then some oatbran flakes.
I totally wanted to add ginger but I think that would clash with the blueberries so I would add that to one with dates and raisins and almonds in the vanilla mix. Oh yeah I would.
So yeah, hi anyway, I think I’m finally back to blogging. Just wanted to say I still love your sight and have been lurking for a little bit.
weelittleme says

March 6, 2009 at 7:57 amOkay, I know I’m not going to win because I’ve won WAYY too many times already – but I made my granola anyway because this is SO FREAKIN’ COOL that I will order it.
I called it Vanilla Whimsy:
Vanilla Granola (with almonds)
Dried Bing Cherries
Dried Blueberries
Goji Berries (haven’t tried these but they sound awesome)
Roasted Cashews
Pecans
Walnuts
Amaranth Seeds
Chia Seeds (what an opportunity to try the chia!)
Organic Coco Shreds
I hesitated over the chocolate, but decided against. I love that it’s only got 273 calories and 35 mg of sodium per serving! Add a little 1% milk and it would be the perfect breakfast…lots of protein.
What a cool site – thanks for posting it.

March 6, 2009 at 8:05 amIt looks really good, but contains wheat or whey so that’s out for me. And I’m Canadian so I can’t win anyway.
I make my own granola and have for years. I use rolled oats, rye, barley, spelt, Polish wheat (aka Kamut), and I just found some rolled quinoa that looks yummy. I throw in dried fruit and nuts as needed.

March 6, 2009 at 8:37 amIt’s been raining here this week- so teaching PE has been indoors in the classroom. On Monday for Dr.Suess’s Birthday all the First Grade classes celebrate reading ALOT of Dr. Suess- I did my PE time with them based on “One Fish, Two Fish”- I read and we acted out or did the physical stuff- “like boxing, running up the hill”- when it came up in the book. SO FUN!

March 6, 2009 at 8:45 amCan’t win but this site looks amazing… Might have to borrow some of their ingredients ideas if I end up making my own granola/cereal/trail mix for this no-added-sugars challenge. Funny, actually, that you should post this today, because about 10 seconds ago I was going through the cupboard trying to figure out what kind of ingredients I could use to create my own… very timely!
My (not technically healthy) dream mix would be:
* Low-Fat Granola
* Cranberries
* Goji Berries
* Dried Blueberries
* Chia Seeds
* Organic Flax Seeds
* Rice Crispies
* Oatbran Flakes
* Honey Smacks
* Mini Yogurt Pretzels

March 7, 2009 at 9:32 amOh yum! I would have vanilla granola, dates, brazil nuts, flax seed, and I might have to add some chocolate mini morsels in there too LOL
But I really like the sound of those chocolate espresso beans and wasabi peas but not together of course ha ha

March 7, 2009 at 8:41 pmFunny you should mention Suess’s birthday. All I think when I hear that is cupcakes! When I was a teenager, I made 72 dozen (that’s 864!) cupcakes every year for the entire elementary school to celebrate Dr. Suess’s birthday. Anyway, I would definitely go berry crazy with the granola. I would start with the vanilla granola and then add starwberries, raspberries, and blackberries.

March 8, 2009 at 4:18 pmSounds totally yum. I could think of a million concoctions, but if pressed I’m choosing the organic granola base with cranberries, raspberries, mangoes, pecans, walnuts and coconut. Way expensive, though!
