Hiya
Good post!
I have to comment here because my yahoo login won’t work!!
I liked your emphasis on location, breathing and body position. Really useful stuff. Wishing you lotsa enjoyment with meditation. It’s a wonderful practise.
Thanks
Jens
I hope to be able to comment ‘over there’ later
You are so right that meditation doesn’t mean zen, buddha, sittingunderabodhi is the only way to do it. You must find what works for you.
I find that breathing exercises can be a quick and instant way to semi-meditate no matter where I am, and that has saved my kiester quite a few times.
I just awoke from my nightlong meditation.
Happy weekend! It’s still dark outside here.
Great post, Miz!
Methinks it’s time to learn to OM….
Have a great weekend. (brush up – there’s another quiz coming up at my place next week! Bwahahaha)
I have to comment here. My Yahoo login wasn’t working (again).
A friend taught me some meditation techniques a year ago. I’ve been trying to remember to make time for it more often as I always feel very calm and relaxed afterward.
Funny:one of my friends at work was just talking to me about this. She is learning from some master of meditation and can now teach it. I’ll lyk if I try it with her. It does seem like it would be “good” for me.
Hi MizFit. Well, I am so much like you & never even thought or wanted to do this! I love my hard core workouts! After reading this, I will think about it!!! HA! See, I did not say I will do it yet but I will consider it! Some of the harder yoga classes have peaked my interest but not this yet until you wrote about it since we are a lot alike in terms of our workouts.
THX!
I meditate daily and I can always tell when I miss a day because I’m too busy or life just gets in the way. It’s been so beneficial for dealing with stress!
Thanks for all the info. I saw it on yahoo yesterday and thought it was really helpful. Meditation is a great way to unwind.
I have always been told to meditate because of my natural tendancy to be stressed out and up tight, but like you I thought the learning curve was too steep and I’ve never thought about trying it for only ten minutes either. You make it seem very doable. I will start using your tips! Good post!
I have never meditated. I do want to give yoga a try. I have a few times, but need to really give it a chance. Life is so stressful and fast that it would be nice to slow down for a bit.
