Once upon a time.
Back in the early days of Miz (when she was younger, had fewer wrinkles & the Tornado was a new walker) she wrote about a brand!new!product! PB2.
She had just discovered it & she was smitten.
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkMkCiSrwOk
(here is the link to the Protein Pancakes I mention in the video)
And then PB2 was everywhere & we all embraced its pure, potent, powdery perfection.
(cue movie montage of PBjoyment)
And then (DRAMATIC PAUSE) the CHOCOLATE PB was created.
And then (PREGNANT PAUSE) Miz finally got her mits on some.

May 4, 2009 at 2:36 amLong time; no comment!
I’m sorry, I say.
To show appreciation,
this is not the way.
Your posts are so awesome
(as is PB2),
but at least I was able
to Twitter @ you!
Now off to the big
protein hunt I will go
(for I still never do
get enough, as you know).
Will one day try the chocolate variety. (My thoughts: good for light wheat bread and froyo mix in. SIGH.)

More when the morning is going.
Off for decaf & some choc.PB2 sprinkles on top.
Yes.
For serious.
Crabby McSlacker says
May 4, 2009 at 4:37 amThat actually sounds very tempting! I am currently OBSESSSED with almond butter and banana sandwiches, so I suspect another lower calorie nut source might be a good distraction.
Sorry, no rhyme this morning but am loving other people’s contributions! Will check back and see what people come up with. You’re such an inspiration on the poetry!

Looks like gluten/dairy/soy free.
Not sure what I would do with it. The birds liked the chia, maybe the squirrels would like the pb2?

Teresa says
May 4, 2009 at 7:55 amI can honestly say, I’ve never heard of it, nor have I seen it in the stores. I really like the low fat. Are the calories lower? I like PB with my apples, I’d be interested in tasting the difference.

May 4, 2009 at 10:10 amIs it really that good? I’m so skeptical, but probably just because I love my regular peanut butter so very much. I hope I win so I can try it.
MizFit says
May 4, 2009 at 10:15 amJess, I know. I LOOOVE my peanut butter and quite honestly dont use this all that often on toast, bagels etc.
Love “making” it (the regular) for fruit (perhaps because I control the texture & spreadability) and ADORE tossing it in everything else I make/bake where traditional peanut butter wouldnt work well.

May 4, 2009 at 10:51 amDo you really bring food along with y ou when you travel?
Healthy snacks?
Miz says
May 4, 2009 at 10:54 amNERD ALERT. I totally do bring food when I travel and 99.999% of it is protein.
It’s so simple to find healthy carbs/fats (pretzels, fruit, oats, fish etc) but I struggle to get enough protein on the road which makes me CONSTANTLY HUNGRY.
I do bring powder and (waitforit) beef jerky in my bag most of the time.

May 4, 2009 at 11:15 amThis sounds like a dream! I MUST be the winner as I have looked all over the state with no luck. If it tastes as good as I imagine, it will definitely be a staple for our 8-day round trip drive to visit family this summer. And although I think it will be disgusting, I am curious to try it in the coffee as well:)

May 4, 2009 at 1:36 pmOK, I have read about this in the past but not sure where or when. I really want to know if this can compliment my addiction to Power Peanut butter which I have every morn on my bread. I love it cause of the extra protein in it & flax too! BUT, I NEED SOMETHING LIKE PB2 TO ADD TO OTHER FOODS WITHOUT ALL THE CALORIES/FAT AND PORTABLE TOO.. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!
So, MizFit, I am not a creative type & rhymes do not come to me like they do to you but I WANT TO WIN THIS SO MUCH THAT I AM GOING TO TRY A RHYME.. OH NO!
Oh me Oh my
PB2 on the fly
No truffles for me
More muscles with PB
PB2, the way to go
PB2 for those in the know
Pls MizFit, I am so intrigued
PB2 & me in need
PB2 sneaking into the workout bag
PB2 on my Oxygen mag
PB2 here & there
PB2 everywhere
OK, I tried!! Don’t laugh at me!

May 4, 2009 at 2:16 pmI’ve heard of the product but have yet to try. Mostly, because I still have one jar of the real stuff left that I bought on sale like … 2-3 years ago. May 4, 2009 at 3:44 pmPeanut butter is not allowed in my house because I *WOULD* eat it way too often. With my fingers. Straight outta the jar. It’s on the list with stuff like marshmallow fluff, frosting, caramel, etc.
I have been intrigued by PB2 and might just have to give it a try. Now chocolate PB2 – that sounds heavenly! Miz – you live in Austin too, right? Can you find it locally or do you have to order it?
And last, a limerick:
There once was a girl named Quix
Who wanted to try PB powder she could mix
Into pancakes, muffins, cookies, or the like
Without having to ride 100 miles to burn it off on her bike
