August 18, 2009 at 4:35 amOw! Tricep dips π π The new Kardashian is ridiculous…but I love it π Off to listen to the recording of the radio show!! Have a good one

I would use this to stretch I think.
My Hamstrings Are Like Steel Bands by Bea.
You were amazing with the radio show, Miz.
Can you do podcasts?
Diane, Fit to the Finish says
August 18, 2009 at 4:52 amOh, definitely the triceps exercise too! After losing all my weight my arms leave a bit to be desired. They are strong, but could be more toned – right?
South Beach Steve says
August 18, 2009 at 4:52 amTricep dips – right now I don’t have a real good way to do those. This looks like it would at least be a starting place for them.
BTW, I am glad to see you posted a link to the show. I’ll be checking that out when I get back from this work trip.
Allie says
August 18, 2009 at 4:53 amSigh.
I guess shipping to the UK would be expensive though π
Off to listen to your show.

August 18, 2009 at 4:54 amNo Rainbow Nation graffiti either!
It looks great though!
dragonmamma/naomi w. says
August 18, 2009 at 5:31 amA person could get really creative with those!
First thing that pops into my mind? A gymnastics balance/core strength thing, I think it’s called The Lever, where you balance on your hands with your legs straight in front of you, it’s usually done on hanging rings.
suganthi says
August 18, 2009 at 5:34 amha ha..
i would love to use if for hurdles.. what other way to feel that child-like joy
Honestly though.. will it be another piece of euipment collecting dust in the basement..
But I can stretch my hamstrings.. this one I am determined to conquer.. off to do my reclined hamstring strecth. Hold my leg up and meditate till it gives..
Jodie says
August 18, 2009 at 5:35 amI would use it for dips and rows and a lot of other different exercises.
kikimonster says
August 18, 2009 at 5:35 amI’ve been wanting one of these since the first time you showed this. Id loved to do some tricep dips to get rid of my bat wings π
suganthi says
August 18, 2009 at 5:38 amoh oh.. I just saw Dr.J’s link. And I have to say “no” to instant gratification like a child to hurdles and go with the hamstring strecth. I just realized it doubles like a barre for barre-type workouts or to use it with my “Clasical Stretch” DVDs instead of putting my feet up the side of the couch.
May be Miz will include my name twice in the drawing for two comments ;)..
Andy says
August 18, 2009 at 5:39 amBusting the Back.
I need these for my tiny lats π
Loved the radio show, MizFit.
Amy H. says
August 18, 2009 at 6:10 amIt’s a good thing there are two of those yellow thingies, cuz I have two kids and they would each need their own to swing on. My bike might look good hooked up to it. Seriously tho, I really need those, because I need someplace to put all my dirty laundry. No…really now. I would do the pull ups on my back that you demonstrated.
sarahbb says
August 18, 2009 at 6:10 amOh, I SO need that for dips. My stairs/chairs just aren’t cutting it and I always feel awkward being the only one in sight doing them at the gym.
I would like to say I’d use it for hurdles, but I think I’d probably do more harm than good.
Kimmy says
August 18, 2009 at 6:15 amI Need Cardio Challenge by Kimmy
I would use these to jump and leap over and get my heart rate up at home.
Pick me π
Trish (@IamSucceeding) says
August 18, 2009 at 6:26 amThose are really interesting and very vesatile.
I think me personally I would liek the stretches, though looking through the different things to do I see my son using it too and doing a lot of them for over all fitness.
Jody - Fit ta 51 says
August 18, 2009 at 6:47 amOMG, too cool!!!!!!!!!!! Pick ONE!!! Are you crazy! I want to do them all!!!!
But since you asked, I am working on doing a free weight chin-up so the back stuff is good for that BUT I LOVE the look of the ab work BUT I need the stretching work so much more as I get older… OH crap, the tris & chest look cool too!!!!! All of them look cool!
YUP, I can’t pick just one. I want to do every single dang one of them!!!!
Random generator, pick me!!! Do you think it is listening!!!

August 18, 2009 at 6:58 amOh my. . . did you see the last 2 nasty tricep exercises in the first link? Ouch!
Tina says
August 18, 2009 at 7:00 amI actually enjoy dips?!?! and that makes it look fun. I used to play on the parallel bars as a kid. Kind of reminds me of that. Looks easier than the Jyze π (sorry to bring back bad memories!)
Miz says
August 18, 2009 at 7:03 amahhhh Jyze.
You still my nemesis.
In Equalizer love,
Miz.
Marianne says
August 18, 2009 at 7:04 amI would do that first pull up exercise (kind of th anti pushup?) Then I would probably hook my feet over the top and continue to yell at Jillian Michaels.
No to the hurdles, unless it comes with supplemental medical/dental insurance.
Jen (@bwJen) says
August 18, 2009 at 7:11 amThis thing looks amazing and I wanna win!!! I like the idea of the stretches and working my flabby arms but my back needs help too!! Oh no I was only supposed to pick one! hehe!

August 18, 2009 at 7:14 amI didn’t even know this thing existed, wow. I would love to do Vain Vertical Rows to achieve Luscious Lats. I didn’t even know I had lats. They have been in hiding apparently.

Shelley B says
August 18, 2009 at 7:23 amVertical Row is a Go! Actually, watching you do that made me realize that yesterday when I was doing it using hanging rings at the gym, I was using me legs too much to push myself up, considering it is a back exercise! Neat giveaway!
Katy says
August 18, 2009 at 7:29 amI’d do one of those squat workouts that the perky looking spiky blond is doing on the legs page. I would NOT do the leaping off the ground workout that the dude is doing.
I would enjoy and appreciate.

August 18, 2009 at 7:37 amDips…dips would be good.
I’d call it the “Dippin’ A”
Great to hear your interview with Dr. Rus! Which reminds me, I have to get up and move something heavy. For just a few minutes…getting it in where I can…a la Miz Fit!!
Gayle says
August 18, 2009 at 7:38 amThat is stinkin’ cool! How can something so simple be so brilliant!?
cammi99 says
August 18, 2009 at 7:40 amI’d love to try this for back and chest, both. Push ups get old.
Cynthia (It all changes) says
August 18, 2009 at 7:49 amI would use this for pushups. I’m not ready yet to do real pushups (or at least not a lot of them) but wall push ups and knee push ups are getting too easy.
marie says
August 18, 2009 at 7:51 amI’d use it to do the tricep exercises. Fight the batwings!!
Mike says
August 18, 2009 at 7:52 amI’ve been curious about these for a while.
Great demo/video.

August 18, 2009 at 7:55 amVertical rows. They are my nemisis.
I haven’t finished coming up with the goals I want to focus on for the next 3 months or so (I figure the holidays will need a new game plan), but splits could easily be on the list.IM SERIOUSLY IN ON THE SPLITS…may never happen but Im gonna try…
Zandria says
August 18, 2009 at 8:03 amI’ve never heard of that! Seems pretty cool, though. I’d definitely use it to work on my push-ups, because that’s definitely a weak area for me.
Mara @ What's for Dinner? says
August 18, 2009 at 8:07 amI would most definitely want to do the vertical row (thats what its called? for the backboobs?)
bjbella5 says
August 18, 2009 at 8:08 amI want these! I love my gym’s assisted pull-up and dips machine, but my chair at home just doesn’t work as well. The simplicity of this is just awesome and bonus: no little parts the kiddos could break off.
MizFit says
August 18, 2009 at 8:10 amI need to get a video of the Tornado (today the Tiny Dictator) doing her version of the dips on there.
and then call The SOUP & let them know it’s posted.
debby says
August 18, 2009 at 8:10 amI don’t have a clever name for an exercise, but I just had a class last night on resistance exercise, and these would be a great assist for some of those exercises.
Thanks for the link to your radio interview–I really wanted to listen to it!
Diana says
August 18, 2009 at 8:13 amTried to find one locally and couldn’t (thought you mentioned last time that you could get them at play again sports). Would love a free on though! And, now have the link to buy one from the site if I don’t get one. (praying to the freebee gods I get it though π

August 18, 2009 at 9:07 amWoo Canada!
Abs exercises all the way. I’d spin circles around that thing with the rockhard washboard abs it would give me.
And I’d hang out in this position ALL DAY LONG:
http://www.lebertequalizer.com/gallery/Abs/slides/Abs-%20Knee-ups.html
While studying. While blogging. It would be fan-freakin-tastic.
the Bag Lady says
August 18, 2009 at 9:10 amCanadians, too? Yippeeeeeeee…..
I would use them to get rid of my batwings.
Oh, wait – I need those for flying.
Ummm, I’m sure I’d find some way to use them
deb says
August 18, 2009 at 9:27 amOh. I have been thinking about getting one of these. So portable. So potentially playful. (yeah, so potentially “how did you sprain your ankle again?” if I tried hurdles).
What would I do?
Shoulder stands. Or “reversing the aging”.
Vertical rows! One of my fave love/hate exercises.
Hey, when you’re doing those leg-ups, keep your knees in! Or add some bridge work for pelvic floor and stretch your hip flexors. Just sayin’
GrowStrong says
August 18, 2009 at 9:42 amInverted rows!! Love love love.
GrowStrong says
August 18, 2009 at 9:46 amPS Just sent you an email at yahoo. Please to check it out.
Cindy says
August 18, 2009 at 10:00 amOH I know I would use this for dips… I just ate it last night trying to do some from the tub…. it was too high and my foot slipped on the tile… I have tried them outside on our block wall… a bit awkward ( inspired by your get outside and do strenght training at the park video)…
and I have tried them on chairs… one fell over once.
AAAHHH
dips I love but the perfect dip place is tough (for me I guess)
BUT as I watched the video…my mind kept thinking about my toddler and how GREAT this would be to get kids exercising. mine is a MONKEY and I am constantly using some of my exercise equip (like an old STEP) to let him climb and do “step ups and step downs” …. we have stairs and i like helping him develop some coordination.
well… there’s my ramble. This equipment looks easy to store, easy to use offers great variety! My hubs is setting up a gym spot in our garage (new treadmill shows up today) and this lil peice of equipment might just be the perfect addition!
Thanks for the review!!!!
erin says
August 18, 2009 at 10:02 amI have never seen this before, but I am intrigued. The vertical row looks–dare I say–kind of fun, although I’m not even sure I could do one!
I imagine you’d need a hard, non-carpeted surface for it?
Karen says
August 18, 2009 at 10:03 amDefinetly the tricep dips- great space to dip down and up
Marste says
August 18, 2009 at 10:11 amWow. Vertical rows for the win!
(Um. But don’t enter me. I don’t have a place to put it. :()
Michelle @ A Shade of Gray says
August 18, 2009 at 10:13 amOh, I Equalizer looks great and love the pull-ups (kind of reminds me of the inverted ones I do off the Smith squat machine!). It would be a great addition to my garage gym :-).
Vickie Riddle says
August 18, 2009 at 10:21 amTricep exercises, although I have lots of other parts that need work too, but the hurdles, I’m sure would not be part of my routine. I can trip over a blade of grass-but that’s a whole other story. π
Rebecca Hoover says
August 18, 2009 at 10:23 amIf I could end up with a body like yours, I would do all those hateful exercises, tricep dips sound excruciating. I’m lucky to do a push up once in awhile.
suzanne says
August 18, 2009 at 10:24 amDefinitely tricep dips and pullups for sure!
Lia says
August 18, 2009 at 10:42 amNothing to do with the video, but I read on Ron’s blog that you donno what venison tastes like, and as a vegan I am telling you to try it because it is sooooo yummmmy! I don’t eat it anymore, obvi, but I still remember it soooo fondly. Do try it, you must have a neighbor of friend nearby who has some in their freezer. I would send you some ASAP in a dry ice shipment, but I’m in Switz, and that would be really difficult. π hmmm I need to try it. dare I tell you I love ostrich and bison? I know, I know…Id be a horrible vegetarian π
seekatyrun says
August 18, 2009 at 10:57 amI could use it to do dips, which I hate, but I am usually pretty good about doing those at the park (even though, did I mention?, i hate them). I would definitely use this for one-legged squats in the privacy of my own home. I’m balance-challenged and falling in mulch isn’t fun.
MizFit says
August 18, 2009 at 11:13 amI imagine you’d need a hard, non-carpeted surface for it?
Ive actually used mine on carpet!
Geosomin says
August 18, 2009 at 11:58 amYeah! Confetti all around Canada! π
I would definitely use it for Tricep dips. I need to figure out ways to do more arm strengthening exercises for bellydancing. This would be perfect. I am balance challenged (to say the least) so this would rock!
Katie says
August 18, 2009 at 12:39 pmThese things look awesome. (ashamed I’ve not seen them yet). Been working out at home more lately, so I REALLY could use these. Tri dips, push ups, back/lats, the knee ups sound right up my alley. I wish I could say I’d use it to stretch, but I probably wouldn’t. Note to self: must start stretching more.
junghwa says
August 18, 2009 at 3:24 pmit sounds like an awesome way to workout! I would love to use it for stretching and dips.
Heather says
August 18, 2009 at 4:49 pmThat thing looks awesome! I hate vertical rows – I mean, I love them in theory, but I suck at them so I obviously need practice. Hurdles? No way. Elementary school field days ruined those for me.
Susan says
August 18, 2009 at 4:52 pmYAY for Canada!!! π I’m stoked on the idea of using it for abs. I’ve been in a bit of an ab rut lately and some of those moves look awesome!!
PS I know I’ve said it before – but you’ve got a GREAT onscreen presence. I work in broadcasting and now a natural talent when I see one π

August 18, 2009 at 5:23 pmWow, that’s a pretty cool tool. Looks like it would be easy enough to assemble/disassemble since my kids’ play room–er, I mean my home gym–doesn’t have a lot of floor space. I made a vow this year to finally do pullups when a friend had to do 10 to qualify at the police academy. I like the Gravitron at my gym, but sometimes need to workout at home, and I’m leery of those things that attach to the doorway. Could just see myself pulling down the door jamb! So this would be a great way to work the same muscles at home. Also, as a former track star (yeah, I said it) married to a man who despises running, I would love to do those hamstring stretches unassisted since I’m usually on my own. A much better stretch with the resistance. Thanks. =)

August 18, 2009 at 7:36 pmMy toddler has just started using the couch and coffee table as his rigged-up parallel bars. He would go WILD with this — doing his ” ‘nastics” WILD!
I don’t do ‘nastics. I’d use it for triceps and pullups.
cammy says
August 18, 2009 at 7:53 pmSay, those rows look an awful lot like pull-ups to me. π
This seems like a pretty handy tool. will add it to the list of possibilities, right after about 10 other things (but ahead of 20 others.)
Melissa Booth says
August 18, 2009 at 9:00 pmI would love it for my 10 year old. She and I have started sit-ups each night & morning. Starting small for her 20 each time. I think she’ll get excited about it. Unfortunately, our gym only allows 12 year olds in the exercise area. I think it would work great for both of us to work on together! She and I would love it for pull-ups, dips and whatever else they have on that card that my 10 year old would be interested in. It would be her thing! And I suspect she’ll want to do the hurdles too…
T says
August 19, 2009 at 8:04 amhurdles? i think i’ve tried hurdles once waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day so those would obviously be fun to do! other than that … start off with doing chin-ups with that thing and eventually move to the big scary pull-up bar at the gym.
