we can all use some extra prayers superpowers every now and then—right?
Please to meet Laurie (on the left) & Kat.
Kat tells the story of how she ended up with two I am my own superhero tees on her blog—-but shared with me (via email) that Laurie is currently waging war against cancer.
While I know she has a fantastic support system (and an invisible cape) I also know it cant ever hurt to have additional thoughts or prayers said for you.
So, should you be the praying kind (or the thinking kind!) and find you have an extra moment today please send some healing, healthy *anythings* Laurie’s way.
Hell, let’s all take a moment today and say a somethin’somethin’ of gratitude for what we have & offer up a whateveryouwannacallit of health & healing for all those who may be less fortunate.
That, in my opinion, is what community (virtual or otherwise) is all about.

October 3, 2009 at 4:59 amAwww…great post Miz.
Today I will dedicate my run to Laurie, in honor of her struggle and fortitude.
I don’t know Laurie, but everyone deserves a little boost now and then and I will be happy to send my virtual support her way.

As my father-in-law is fighting cancer as well, I at least understand parts of what Laurie is going through and we all definitely need each other in moments like these! Saying prayers for Laurie and her family …

October 3, 2009 at 10:50 pmStay strong…don’t let cancer win
I’m not one to pray but I am hopeful you will beat this. I am also hopeful that the researchers will kick cancers ass in my lifetime. I know finding a cure is only a matter of time … but every day that passes is one day too many for those who are fighting. Send prayers, thoughts, positive energy, support and hope to those who are living with this horrible disease – but also remember to send financial support, if you can, to those searching for a cure.
