January 13, 2010 at 4:50 amIn fact, a mama friend lamented to me recently that she’d lost all her motivation and I lovingly informed her that I didn’t care (she’s a close friend:-) ). In my opinion, once we become parents it is merely part of our jobs to stay fit, healthy and high-energy for our kids. We owe them that much.

OUCH.
This initially made me mad.
Which made me realize I must need to think more about it.

January 13, 2010 at 7:30 amI do love the idea of play exercising with the kids. For me, I had to get to a point where I could even do that. When I was at 250 pounds, playing was not an option. I was too tired to move and when I did move around I would get winded very quickly.
By losing some of this weight and moving at least 10 minutes a day, I finally have enough energy to play with the kids and it’s so much fun. Playing tag. Catch. Basketball. Going to the park and just enjoying the equipment while the other moms sit on benches and watch. It’s like finally waking up from a deep sleep. I’m happier and so are the kids.
We do owe it to them to be fit. Not only because they need us to be present but because we are setting examples that will carry into their adult lives.

January 13, 2010 at 8:37 amI have been reading your blog and watching your videos a lot lately. This one inspired me enough to comment, but couldn’t figure out the comment thing. I am incorporating exercise slowly. The Wii is teaching me some good lessons and I start my day with at least 10 minutes, not only of laughter but exercise.
Honestly, for me, reading fitness blogs can be intimidating and overwhelming at the same time. Trying to fathom, running and stretching your body with all those strength building exercises, especially when you are going from sedentary, but wanting, SO wanting, to change, it can be scarey.
Your comment about how sometimes you only do 10 minutes, made me look at fitness differently. I will be back. I will try new things. I will learn not to be intimidated and just do the best that I can. THANK YOU!

January 13, 2010 at 9:31 amLove the idea that you are only one healthy choice away from being back on track.
As usual, you are totally inspirational!

January 13, 2010 at 12:17 pmI’m a fan of the idea that you’re only one healthy choice away from being on track too. It takes all the pressure off to be perfect and at the same time, highlights the fact that it’s all a choice.

January 13, 2010 at 2:20 pmOne healthy choice away from being on track. I like that and I must remember it for the next time I screw up and think that’s it for the day. It is never it!
Great post for Wii.

January 13, 2010 at 3:20 pmHere is my comment over there:
I love MIZ! I have been following her for a while now & her philosophy is so REAL!
I am in love with weights like MIZ! Her body fat really is not too low. It is most likely that of a very fit person. Eating healthy & keeping moving along with lifting weights does that! I think some may say that about me but my body fat is a very healthy range & I am still getting that UGH monthly so…
MizFit, thx for being such great role model!

January 14, 2010 at 4:25 pmMothers, mom or mother are more than daily exercise, housewives, dating, marriage, divorce, children, adoption, fostering, consumerism, weight loss, pregnancy, school, politics, cooking or work they are love, support, nurturing, honor, awards, acknowledgement and family so nominate your mother or motherly figure athttp://www.mother-of-the-year.com today and help make religion, life, peace, world and love more loving. Have a great day.
