Great! Another exercise to add to my ‘traveling’ repertoir. Most hotel bathrooms will have enough room to do that. LOVE the Tornado’s interpretation. My form is a little similar to hers at times.

Yes, Ma’am. I don’t like lunges, either. I consider them penance, but if you can do them, I can also.
I laughed when a friend (in real life-friend) tweeted at me this morning that, judging by my videos one would think I only lunged at the grocery or at home.
I told her INDEED SHE WOULD BE CORRECT.
At the gym lunging for me plops the WORK back in WORKOUT.

My quads hurt just watching your lunge! I will try these next week – I’m intrigued by the towel idea – but for now, my quads are on a lunge break.

haha! i loathe lunges as well BUT i love the DOMS after a good lunge/squat sesh. they are effective!

My friend Adam who is just off major knee surgery had to do lunges in rehab. When the therapist told him to do them, he gave the guy the stink-eye and proclaimed:
I’m a trainer. I MAKE people do lunges, I don’t do them myself.
After the therapist made him do his lunges – he called me and apologized for making me do about 100 throughout a 1 hour workout.
At home, I’ve been known to lunge back and forth across my deck (40′) throughout the day. But why ruin a pleasant day in the sunshine with lunges?
Got to love the lunges for what they do for the bod!! Tornado.. toooooo cute!
Two things I always like to add to the conversation when it comes to lunges are:
A) They are more than an exercise, they are also a life-skill.
B) Really, lunges are just a 1-legged squat. When put in that context, people tend to do with with greater focus and increased concentration.

Come on, now. Be honest. Is there a blooper reel to this video where you slipped mid-lunge? π (I just KNOW that my attempts at a sliding lunge would wind up with me toppling over in a very ungraceful, unladylike fashion!)
I <3 lunging. There must be something wrong with me. My goal last summer was to be able to do a football field from one end zone to the other and back. I barely made it, but felt so freaking awesome and couldn't walk right for days! I will try these today!

It’s weird, I can hardly see the leg-sleeve in this video. For some reason I thought it was more prominent.
My trainer made me do lunges one of our first sessions and I almost didn’t get back up from one. Now I can do more of them, but I don’t like them any better.

Lunges. *shudder* It’s been a while.
I’m okay with walking lunges, but with stationary lunges, I always feel like my form is off.
Maybe I will try these…but probably not unless you come to my kitchen and MAKE me.
