Wow – such a difference! How awesome to see yourself in the magazine! And congrats on the long term maintenance – I hope to someday be able to say the same thing about myself.
Whoo hoo! SO cool.
Great job!!! YOu’re doing great.
Awesome – so glad they recognized you! Sixteen years keeping the weight off is so inspiring – more people need to know that you’ve done this!
Congrats! π
Love love love it! I really liked your ‘top tip’. so true.
Awesome! And great advice (well, of course!)
CONGRATS!!!
That before photo doesn’t even look like you! I wouldn’t have recognized you at all. Sixteen amazing years!
Wow! Congrats on the great article, Miz! (Not to mention great maintenance!) Glad they also included the URLs for the people featured who are bloggers; not all magazines do that.
What a great before and after photo! Wow. I ASPIRE to be you with your maintenance awesomeness π
You. Rock.
Yay for you Miz!!!
Oh and loved the tip too.
I need to have more consistency.
Wow, congrats on the Woman’s Day coverage!
You look great curvy; you look great lean; you’re adorable at any size. But the best thing is that you’ve found a way to be healthy & happy & strong and inspiring, year after year! Lifestyle solutions are SO much better than icky short term diets.
So cool to see you in another national magazine!
Love everything you said in that mini-article. Such an inspiration! We share some of the same favorite meals.

So Inspiring! I have been maintaining a 100# weightloss for over two years. It is so true that it just has to be the way you LIVE. Even if it takes years to lose the weight (it took me one entire year), that is nothing compared to the rest of your life. Thank you for being such an inspiration. Woot!
Carla this is awesome! I’m so impressed and amazed!
Look at you being all famous (famous-er?) π

So awesome!! Loved the article!!! Great inspriation!!
Oh boy… I’m gonna stick my neck WAY out here, and offer a not-so-popular opinion… gulp…
There are only so many hours in the day.
*I* am not the center of anyone else’s world.
We ALL naturally gravitate to others of like-mind.
We need to not expect the world to stop and bow down when WE arrive… in person or in Blog. In other words, get over ourselves.
We need to stop being so super-sensitive, and then blaming others, and calling friendships “cliques”.
If we want friends, and to “feel” like we are INside rather than OUTside of a group, then we need to pay our dues and reach OUT… to take the TIME to get to know others, be truly interested in their story, and then they will usually respond with interest in OUR story.
We all have a story.
I feel so blessed to have been welcomed by so many bloggers, who offer support and friendship.
But I can also honestly say: I detest “drive by” comments. Sorry, just being real.
You know, where they make some shorter-than-a-Tweet comment that shows that they haven’t even bothered to find out a THING about you, such as glance at your sidebar. So you go HUH? at what they said. Then they say: come follow ME.
Um…. back to my first point: there are only so many hours in the day. And there are those I have come to sincerely respect, care about, and want to offer GENUINE support, as time permits.
I apologize, Mizfit, for this being too long.
This touched a nerve for me… I had VERY few friends growing up. And in real life right now, hardly any. But there are blogger friends that are precious to me! And when I sense them being criticized, say for being “clique-ish” or whatever, it brings out the Grrrr in me. Oh, and I am NOT inferring that YOU are doing the criticizing, just to be clear.
I LOVE me some Mizfit. π
