I love my Ahnu Kicks.

(ooh & that’s kind of a play on words as kicks can mean shoes and it’s also the name of the style they sent me.  I funny.)

They employ Numentum Technology which encourages our foot’s natural biomechanics & promotes and efficient balanced and stable stride.

The Ahnu company is good peeps & donate shoes/a portion of shoe-proceeds to Soles4Souls, Breast Cancer Fund, Conservation Alliance and other non-profits.

The whole mission of the company is to sell shoes while being socially & environmentally conscious.

Yet why am I mobile-blogging my review as I walk the streets of BigCityUSA?

I love how the Kicks fit.

I love how they feel.

I love how the sporty mary-janes look.

And yes, I love this woman has a non-sneaker, non-flip flop COMFORTABLE (& pretty damn hip-looking if you ask me) option she could throw in her suitcase & *happily* wear.

(and yes. in case you were wondering I do know how to UNBOLD on my phone)

So that’s me.

In BigCity (fleeting. for work. no playtime for this misfit & hence the need for closed almost-grownup shoes.)

Loving my Ahnu (but yes. I did still bring the boots)

And heading home (tomorrow).

  5. I LOVELOVELOVE my Ahnu shoes too! And now that I’ve read what a great company they are, I heart them even more. I got them to wear to & from yoga class because I thought they’d be easy to slip on and off, but now I find myself wearing them everywhere because they are SO comfortable. I get compliments on them everywhere too!

  11. I love ahnu shoes! I have two pairs of my own. Nice choice (even if they aren’t my signature heels). Since I’m in the classic fall boot right now, I am full of jealousy for your super cute casual shoes. 🙂

  14. Question (because they intrigue me and I might go and check them out): Are they flat? I’ve been wearing VFFs almost all the time since February and now shoes with any heel at all are very uncomfortable.

    And not about those shoes in particular but shoes in general: Why why why do shoe manufacturers insist on making shoes with toes that curl up? That’s not how my feet are made!

    • that’s a tough one to answer in a way.
      As flat as my VFFs or like, say, ballet flats? No.

      But they are flat as per 3rd photo.

      I know. I’m no help. It all depends on what yer definition of flat flat is 😉

  23. They do look nice. I wish the brand didn’t use leather though. The company suggest that they are socially and environmentally conscious however they are happy to profit from the skins of animals and the meat industry which ultimately causes unnecessary suffering and puts a strain on the environment. Perhaps their ethical concerns only extend to humans?
