OK.
Im not traveling.
I totally had the chance to git away but motherhood made that impossible. Le sigh. LE SIGH.
Many many of my Peeps, however, are jetting around & lamenting the busy days and lack of exercise opportunities.
Lament no’ mo my brothers and sisters in fitness.
I give you The Tornado’s Airport Waiting Area Workout Routine (A.W.A.W.R.).
(Filmed on the proverbial down-low so as not to attract airport security…)
Please to enjoy:
HILARIOUS.
I’m heading to Atlanta today.
Dare me to do it??
I love how you exercise and fit your daughter into your routines and not exclude her.
I know you’re being silly here but you know what I mean.
Next time ask security to join in!!
OMG those lunges in the first video are classic.
I love you and your girl.
This is my new fave over the grocery store workout, Miz.
hahahhahaha- this is almost as good as your supermarket workout video 🙂 Loving the wheel barrel action. Too cute
Where are the tutus? 🙂
You must do a workout video for kids, Carla.
Fun stuff on the go!!
Love it! And I thought of you when I was grocery shopping yesterday. I totally did a few bicep curls with the gallon of milk!!
What is the grocery video?
Amazed you didn’t have security on your case. Looks like terrorist activity to me.
How fun is that – I’ll have to try this one!
It’s sure to get me kicked out, eh?
🙂
So cute. At least you gave fellow travelers something else to watch during the boring wait for the flight!
I bet you two make good people watching in air ports. 😉 I do a lot of stair running when I have time to kill in airports…but rarely wheel barrels.
We MUST meet at the airport sometime!!
You can be the wheel barrel, I’ll be the pusher…
You read my mind Mizzy!
We are heading to Disney this weekend 😉
I will do and film!!
Carla, this is the best. I am forwarding it to Rich. He says try to workout wherever you can. You set such a good example. LOVE it!
Oh! This makes me so happy. I love the lunges! It’s so awesome that Tornado gets to join in the fun wherever you go! Yay!
There is always a way! Who cares what others think & maybe some will join in!!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hysterical but also inspiring.
That is too cute!!! You’re a freaking animal. I want to be able to do lunges like that! So awesome that your daughter is encouraged to move with you!! She seems like she’s having a blast!!
We are driving down 21 hours to Orlando in 4 weeks. I plan on doing a short workout during every stop. I promise to film it too.
You and the tornado are so incredible.
What is even more hysterical is the crazy stripper-looking woman wearing leopard-print everything and a full face of makeup at 8:00am who was sleeping on the floor on the other side of those chairs!
Chair pushups? Why did I never think of that!!!
Oh and hope you brought Purell for after.
brilliant idea
I love it!!! 🙂 Awesome, awesome!
Thank you thank you for letting me know about these videos! Love them! I will try some of those exercises out during my travel 😉 Thanks again! You are the best!
Reading this at airport on my way to foodbuzz!!
A.W.A.W.R…. sounds like the sound I make when trying to bust out that last push up. Or maybe that is the sound you hear of me jogging on my blogs video today.
A.W.A.W.R.!!!!
Excuse me, but I think Tornado’s form is slightly better than yours. 😛
indeed. The student hath surpassed the teacher.
There’s just no excuse not to exercise, is there!
Oh, the wheelbarrow–I used to love doing that as a kid. You’re a good mommy, Miz.
Oh, and a new Two Fit Chicks–I’ve been waiting for a new episode!
If you don’t mind what a bunch of strangers think (and usually I don’t, I won’t be seeing these people ever again), you can exercise almost anywhere, in some fashion.
Love it Miz!! Your approach to fitness just ROCKS!!
Old school WHEELBARROWS!!
This post gave me the biggest best laugh ever!! My favorite is when Tornado is doing dips, but she’s too little!! AHhhhahaaaahahahaaah1!!!!
Wheelbarrows in an airport! Brilliant! Now if only I could find someone to hold my feet next time i have a layover…
Too funny… I can just picture walking up to a complete stranger…
Excellent idea — great way to get the blood circulating during all of the waiting around (and keep the mood up).
Echo everyone else that said this is simply epic, classic, etc. I’m so entertained!!!
That sure brings back memories of my dad wheeling me down the street. HA!
Now THAT’s what I call dedication! You go girl!
awww, love how you include the little one… very cute. Gosh, there’s no way I can lift my body weight like that. Guess practice makes perfect. I’ll give it a shot. Not at the airport but using my kitchen chair.
How fun! I only exercised on my recent airport trip by walking between stores, shopping. Might have been better off doing some lunges and tricep dips, lol!
This is totally something I would do. And also something my husband would give me crap for…
