I like your suggestion of shopping one day and starting the new habits the next.
Do you find that you overeat junk in preparation for the next day?
Also do you think one day a week of less processed foods really helps?

June 6, 2011 at 8:26 amI do think that back in the DAY I might have overeaten junk in preparation for a DETOX but that would also have been back in the day when DETOX meant DEPRIVATION and FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE 🙂
Now setting myself up for success (the grocery shopping) in whatever the realm (I do this in all areas of my life) causes me to feel empowered not about-to-be-deprived.
AND YES!

All things we take in impact our bodies and minds and, in my opinion, too much junk by way of popculture consumption can cause a detox need as well.

June 6, 2011 at 7:13 amToo funny: I’m working on something like this already – or at least an extension of it – and trying not to get caught up in the whole, “If I can’t do it 100% perfect, it’s not worth doing at all” mentality. (I’m better at that now than I was a year ago, but still. ;D)
