These days when asked to do a guest post on someone’s blog I usually decline.
Im not proud of that fact—-BUT I am proud of the reason why.
With 24 hours in a day Ive found finishing my own work leaves me scant time left to love up on these two people:

Love em. Just dont interrupt Crazy 8’s!
Im always readywillingandABLE to support our Tribe in other ways—Ive just decided rather than tell some people yes and others no Im a no across the board.
Im spending 2012 striving to LIVE MY PRIORITIES and not merely give them lip-service.
I was all “no no but may I help in a different fashion...” until I received an email asking for a guest post from PAVEMENT RUNNER.
I dont know him much at all, yet Ive watched him for a while now.
Ive noticed how he’s a one man cheerleader for our Tribe.
He’s always the first one to cheer someone else on and offer to lend a helping hand. He’s supportive generous kind and caring.
He does unto others. CONSTANTLY.
Im guest blogging over at his place today because it only took me a few moments to realize saying NO would not be in alignment with my priorities either.
Sometimes helping a stranger-friend out is MORE important than posting on your own blog.
Oh and BTW: You, too, are lovely, amazing, wise and witty. Smart, strong, sassy and supportive.
Whats that you said? THANK YOU?
See? I knew you didnt need my, uh, THERAPY….
Lovely words about someone I don’t know.
Off to check it out.
Good reminder, Mizzy.
I may be taking my Nos and boundaries too far?
I love it, checking it out now!
I’ve never heard of him – thanks for the direction to another running blogger! 🙂
Pavement Runner IS the best. So glad you are over there today. Off to check it out!
Love Pavement Runner!
Now…about that guest post. 😉
Sweet post, Carla.
Off to meet the new blogger.
Oh, Crazy 8’s! Haven’t thought about that game in years.
So funny that we are both readjusting our priorities to adhere to our priorities!
Interesting points.
I haven’t heard of the pavement runner!
GOOD for you! Prioritizing is super important! I think we can all get caught up in the saying yes to everything!
YAY FFA LOVE!! Adorable!
I love how awesome and honest you are. 🙂
This is so you Carla & that is why you are loved by all!!!
love pavement runner! off to check it out!
PavementRunner rocks! As do you! I like you a lot. Like, a lot, a lot! 🙂 xo
You are so right – Pavement Runner IS an incredible one man cheerleader for all of us. He constantly amazes me with his support. Can’t wait to read your post over there! PS thank YOU for being so honest and true to your priorities.
Couldn’t agree more about Brian, plus he’s hilariously witty! I’ve been trying to find that balance, too- took one 2 guest posts and have been feeling swamped, lesson learned. It’s okay to say no.
That was my first time visiting the Payment Runner blog. Thanks for bringing me there =) Love your witty commentary! I have to say, sometimes it’s just as hard giving compliments as it is receiving without coming across as awkward or like you’re hitting on the person. You know when you just want to tell someone you think their beautiful without having them think you’re trying to ask them out on a date?
I couldn’t agree more! I am so impressed with how much Pavement Runner cheers everyone else on! A great running role model. Can’t wait to read your guest post!
Thanks for the link to this new blog!
Can’t wait to check out the new-to-me blog!!! Yay for prioritizing, and Crazy 8’s!!!! Have a great Monday Miz!
Love me some Pavement Runner! 🙂
Gotcha, on my way…

Carla – great guest post! I needed to hear that today. Anytime someone – anyone – pays me a compliment, I immediately crap all over it. Must stop doing that. I must learn to just say thank you and smile. Why is it so hard to do that?
So glad you said YES! Thanks for sharing your words of wisdom.
After reading your title for this post, I’ve got Nelly Furtado’s “I’m like a bird” stuck in my head now. The title isn’t the song but I immediately put it to the tune. LOVE IT!
I’ll be sure to check that out. Thanks for turning me on to his blog too.
