my mantra. my anchor.
I may have mentioned at some point how Roni Noone and I have a book coming out soon (wink).
I may have mentioned (or not? no wink.) how this has been an overnight success fourteen years in the making (yep. that’s how long Ive had agents, not sold manuscripts, pitched, created proposal packages, almost sold, not sold etc).
I’m sure I never mentioned how one facet of the book publishing process I’ve always looked forward to is the book trailer.
It always sounded like such a fun opportunity to get creative and a chance bring those who’ve supported me along the way into book-experience.
It’s finally time.
Essentially a book trailer is a video advertisement (<—for lack of a better, more fun word) for the book.
It employs many of the same techniques of movie trailers to get readers excited about, well, reading the book!
The trailers are shared online (blogs, book sellers, twitter, face book etc) and offer authors a chance to give insights and share behind the scenes stuffs of their writing.
The thing is our #wycwyc book isn’t really about us.
#wycwyc is about you.
The book offers insights, information, tips, and tricks for healthy living through doing what you can when you can and it all returns to the power of our community.
This is why, now that it’s time to film, we want to invite you to star in our trailer instead of us.
Here are the details:
- We are working with a Baltimore, Maryland based company called ClickSpark.
- Participation would involve one day of filming (most likely later this month or early February) in the Baltimore area.
- We are in search of people who fit these descriptions:
You’re welcome to send in your information even if you’re not located in the Baltimore area—you’d just be on your own (as I am. this be a shoestring operation.) as far as transportation etc.
Interested?
Please send at least 2 up to date photos along with availability (weekday morning, evening only, etc.)
Experience is a plus, but not required! Please send in by 1/15 to be considered for casting.
This is an unpaid role but there will be prolific amounts of food and hugs.
Email Lee@clickspark.it
Questions? Hit me up in the comments below.
I’m really excited about this entire project.
Roni, Lee, and I have spent time hammering out ideas, story boarding everything and I cannot wait to watch all of *you* bring it to life.
