I think if you keep doing what you are doing & keeping an open line of communication as she ages, hopefully all will be OK & it lasts. Peer pressure & words can be very powerful & really effect kids but I see you being able to continue talking with her & helping her work thru this!

July 10, 2011 at 1:07 pmI think it’s great if other grown-ups (not just the kid’s mom and dad) reinforce this. If mom’s friend or Aunt Charlene says something positive to the child about his/her body (strong, fast, flexible,etc…) it can go a long way.
