Zone Caribbean Wellness Cruise Contest

Beginning today through February 10, 2009, ZoneDiet.com is looking for compelling stories from people struggling to lose weight and find a healthy balance (MizFit note: That’s us, People! We must get a member of the Bumbling Band to win!).

One grand prize winner will join Dr. Barry Sears, creator of the Zone Diet, on a Caribbean wellness cruise in March 2009. Contestants are asked to visit ZoneDiet.com to submit a short essay describing their past weight loss challenges and why Zone Diet offers the best wellness solution. The seven-day Zone Cruise will include fun and relaxation, three tropical ports of call, exquisite gourmet Zone cuisine, presentations and weight loss consultations.

  3. oh Ive never been on a cruise either.

    Id just kill for a few hours sans toddler (who is crawling on me as I type) to READ undisturbed.

    It could pretty much be in an airport restroom for all I care 🙂

  9. Oh wow!!! How nice would that be?! I wonder if they do such a cruise every year. I’ve heard of the Richard Simmons’ Cruise to Lose – expensive but it looks like a great time!

  10. I love Dr. Sears. I especially find useful the information he posts about vaccines. As far as health goes…he’s “in the know”.

  12. That sounds like my kinda cruise. This year in April I took a trip (road trip, plus cruise) and had to use my own ingenuity to make it a wellness cruise. I worked out 6 out of the 10 days of the trip, including waking up every morning of the cruise at 6:00 to run on the treadmill while I rocked back and forth (ever run on a ship? it’s an interesting experience). Oh, and I snorkeled for about 90 minutes in 58 degree water one of the days- with a wet suit of course!

    The food was great, but there was too much of it, and bingo doesn’t really count for burning mucho calories. Plus, with all the driving (from SLC to L.A.) it was a lot of “sedentary” to balance. It would be great to have some of the work done for me.

    Maybe I’ll give this essay thing a shot- after New Year’s that is. Although I’m not sure that my story is that compelling. I’m less than 15 pounds above my goal weight.

    BTW, an interesting side note: more times than not, when I view your site, Robin’s blog is on your “randomly rotating” blog roll (Fitness, Kids and Sanity). It cracks me up!
