Subtitle: Your MizFit rolls sorta Blair Witch style.
We’ve previously established in our facetimes that the MizFit needs a friend or three who doesnt/dont work and are thrilled to spend their days following her ass around with a video camera.
(an assistant. that’s what I need. please to send your resumes to itaintglamourousandpaysnothing@volunteerwork.org)
This week the MizFit rolled solo whilst executing lunges (and juggling knives but that part ended up on the cutting-room floor).
It still is fairly non-rambly and self-explanatory (with minor HORRIFYING subject/verb disagreement sprinkled in for good measure).
not clear to *you*? hit me up in the comments.
This week’s winner? Priscilla. You know the drill. Email me and Ill get you yer stuff!

April 7, 2008 at 5:19 amWow, this was great! I love seeing that mug on camera and the form explanation was really great. Thanks (and keep ’em coming)!

April 7, 2008 at 7:27 amI’m just going to lay down and kick right now because your video’s don’t like me! I press play and I get “We’re sorry, this video is no longer available”
On the bright side, surely that laying down and kicking will count as exercise 😉
Oh I emailed my resume to willholdcamerafortraininglessons.com I guess I’m too late for this job

April 7, 2008 at 7:33 amBowing to your lunges! I used to hate them, but have now learned to accept them. Why? Because I want my legs to be in as great of shape as yours!

April 7, 2008 at 7:40 amIngenious, MizFit. Mirror filming–I love it. Lunges, not so much…but willing to embrace.

April 7, 2008 at 8:15 amAnother awesome video. Your quads look wonderful!

April 7, 2008 at 8:47 amHoly wall o’ mirrors!
I never minded lunges…perhaps because I was doing them wrong? Hmmm…
Gena says
April 7, 2008 at 10:06 amI love lunges. They’re my go-to leg exercise. And while I enjoyed the video, I did not so much enjoy the slight motion sickness that accompanied it. Good thing it was on the computer screen and not the regular TV.

April 7, 2008 at 11:18 amThe Bag Lady watched your video. Cursed her own inactivity. Went and did 35 minutes of yoga. Hey, it ain’t lunges, but wasn’t it you who said baby steps? (really, I’m sure I read that here….)

April 7, 2008 at 12:07 pmi LOVE the lunge! It is my go-to exercise, even do it on the way to the mailbox. Thanks for a great video once again! 🙂

April 7, 2008 at 12:34 pmNice!! Oh, I have the same design Nike shorts on, but without the “v” cut.
I guess we both pay attention to Charlotte’s advice on dressing for the workout 🙂
Katieo says
April 7, 2008 at 12:43 pmSeriously. I love you.
Lunges are my bff. They’re too easy to not do all over the place. And you don’t use weights? I so get that- it’s funny how things get harder if you’re really focusing on form.

April 7, 2008 at 12:54 pmYou rock, girl. Although I was hoping to see some OTK socks now that we’re doing legs;) You have fabulous form (and your filming skills are pretty good too)!!
Dr. J – man, I really seem to have freaked people out with that post. I’m sure your shorts are wonderful – just wear underwear, that’s all I’m saying:)
MizFit says
April 7, 2008 at 1:39 pmok.
full disclosure.
I should lunge way more oft than I do.
I shall harness all of YOUR enthusiasm, don the OTK-tubes and commence “funny walking” as the Tornado calls it.

April 7, 2008 at 2:05 pmLunges are good and fun, but turn my legs into Jelly! Love the vids, keep them coming 🙂
Susan says
April 7, 2008 at 3:38 pmOoo, lunges are great! I don’t use weights either since they would make me wobble and get off balance. I think that would defeat the purpose! 🙂
Thanks for the reminders on how to do them properly!
Dr. J says
April 7, 2008 at 4:43 pmAbsolutely Charlotte! I also have a messaged pinned to them saying to take me to any hospital other than mine!
Sagan says
April 7, 2008 at 6:05 pmMan, I’d hate to get into a fight with you- look at that awesome muscle! Also thanks for reminding me about lunges; I love doing them but for some reason they frequently end up falling by the wayside…

April 7, 2008 at 7:36 pmDear G-d woman – how I envy your body! I must go now, and pout.
Rachel says
April 7, 2008 at 10:11 pmI like lunges, just don’t do enough of them. I ran 5 miles and spent an hour doing strength training via Pilates today, does that count?
Heather says
April 7, 2008 at 10:36 pmI heart Mizfit.
Lunges?
Not so much.
But that means they’re working, right?
Zandria says
April 8, 2008 at 7:24 pmYou go, girl, with the lunges! Awesome! I need to remember that about the stretching in-between sets.

April 9, 2008 at 12:04 amMizfit! I’ve been lurking around watching your monday facetimes for a few days now and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them so just popping by to say a little thank you. I was at the gym on monday doing bicep curls and I heard your voice in my head…”sets and repetitions…now stretch that muscle for 30 seconds!” haha And now I know that when my back leg slams during lunges, thats not me just working extra hard! Thanks!

August 25, 2008 at 4:07 amIngenious use of the mirrors. I’m glad to see my lunge form is good.
Is it going to get me in trouble if I say your legs look great !! I hope not, because I just said it !
