A few months ago I received an email which made me LEAP IN JOY, call husband at work, DANCE in my corky shoes and quite frankly NOT believe my luck.

The message was about a potential partnership with a company Ive worn since my KENYON days.

They wondered if Id be interested in working with them (interested? I paid my way through graduate school selling them!) and that the opportunity would be in Ladies Home Journal magazine (they had me at LHJ.  I LOVE LHJ.).

I had no idea PRECISELY what the partnership would entail but I knew—to their delight or dismay—I had story upon story to tell.

The above hits newstands today in the October issue of Ladies Home Journal.

Im not embarrassed to say the above may also end up framed and hanging in my office.

Birkenstock brand + my MizFit brand = one huge item from my bucket list checked.

  3. Awesome, whoot! I have a picture of myself with Bart Yasso under a huge Birkenstock sign that I’ll cherish forever . . . more excited about the shoes, those Yasso 800s never worked for me 😉

  4. CONGRATS!! i literally live in my birks (the gizeh) and refuse to wear regular flip flops anymore! birks are the only thing that give me enough arch support to wear all day. i have them in silver, dark brown, and green! my mother in law got me hooked as she has a million pairs!

  18. We love them! I converted child from your no-name flip flops to the B-style flip flops and he loves them. Bonus – no more whining that his legs, ankles, and knees hurt!

  30. I used to wear clogs when I first started doing surgery! I guess you could say I was “birkenstock” when birkenstock wasn’t cool!

    Now I wear cross-trainers.

  47. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! If Addidas did this to be I would DIE! I wear the SEXY addidas sandals that people where with socks for soccer in high school, well I wear mine with multicolored socked all the time, they are connected to my feet. PEOPLE HATE THEM soooo much and want me to throw them away, BUT NO SIR REE BOB!!!

  50. This is awesome! I love your secret weapons! I have to have my water bottle (love switching up which one I bring with me), music is a must, and my third has to be a corollary to music–my headphones have to be great. If I can hear every detailed sounds when I’m jamming out, it’s going to be a great workout! Nice post and congratulations!

  81. Do you believe I’ve never worn them. We have them here in Australia but I’m yet to try them – though they look so comfy!
