If you hang with me on the book of the face then you know I am NOT A COOK.
If you’ve popped in here more than a few times then you KNOW I’m no FOODIE.
Hence the KINDA in the title.
The word cookie? Methinks–according to the Tornado’s face post-consumption–might be a misnomer. I’m not putting Mrs. Fields out of business any time soon.
That said, yesterday morning + two ingredients + super-fast + super easy *AND* the eight year old could make herself? WIN-WIN.
For those of you who asked after spying the photo above—here’s the (finger-quote) recipe (unFQ):
- Two waaay overripe bananas.
- 1 cup(ish) of plain, uncooked oats.
Mash with hands. Squeeze through fingers. GIGGLE. Realize goop is a bit too “runny.” Make gross jokes. Add more dry oats.
Bake at 350 for about 11 minutes.
CONSUME!
You rock and are my kind of baker!!!!
I’ll post pic on instagram of mine.
This is hilarious and awesome!
Love that you’re venturing outside your cooking comfort zone. Foodie bloggers watch out!
I love the magic of oats and bananas! Perfect for non bakers! 🙂
What Tamara said :-). Sounds like great family fun (if not great cookies).
Needs raisins. Or chocolate chips. 🙂
P.S. Your picture is too awesome not to PIN!
YUP this is my kind of baking
You had me at rude comments…
I like the directions for this recipe: CONSUME! Sounds like I can handle that!
giggling in the kitchen is a must 😉
I bet baking with you and the tornado would be amazing.
Perfect little snack or breakfast! I’d slather some almond butter on there, maybe a bit of Greek yogurt and gobs of cinnamon. I’ll have to keep this in mind! Anything I don’t really need to measure = the best. 😀
Oh the magic of extremely overripe bananas. It’s sad to think of how many people throw them away when their nontraditional uses are endless!
trade you some chia bread for some cookies?
That is my kind of baking – I think I could handle it and I know my youngest would love those!!!!
Yum. Easy and fun and i’ve always got a few overripe bananas around.
Ooh, I’ve done this with apples, applesauce, and oats, but never thought to do it with bananas!
My only problem is that I have a wee problem with is keeping bananas around long enough to get to the overripe stage. Maybe I’ll keep an eye on the clearance bin and just buy them already overripe. 🙂
This looks very delicious and healthy. It also looks like east to prepare. I am a gym addict and I think I can have these cookies for my breakfast 🙂
All love this EASY cookie recipe! I may add in some protein powder! 🙂
Nice!! The simplest recipes are always the best!
Yum and so easy to make (even for this new sleep deprived mommy)
Isn’t it amazing what can be done with overripe bananas?!?!
Looks delicious and so easy! Thanks
These are awesome!!!!!!!

Easy peasy!
